What's descaling? And is it easy to do?
Descaling is done once a year. -
I havenโt read the whole thread but Iโm keen to get this machine. Where can I get a better price other than Taka?
Is it better to get Clitz and Aerocino or Lattisma? -

Just do a blank flush. Run a cycle of lungo w/o capsule. The hot water will flush the chamber, dislodge residual from the filter plate (you can't see it) and kills bacteria. Some people observed slow flow - their filter plate could be blocked.Anyone knows how to clean the Nespresso machine? Specifically the area near the spout? Is there a special chemical that we can use to clean it?
Thanks! -

If you are not a stickler to brand, there are Nes system compatible machines and capsules available now. The cost barrier of entry is lower.I haven't read the whole thread but I'm keen to get this machine. Where can I get a better price other than Taka?

I am trying this compatible capsule. Taste is pretty good and crema is great. Works fine in my Citiz. For 70 cts a pop, its very good value I must say.

Anyone tried their latest flavours? Any good? Told DH to go try and let me know if he likes it but he is too busy travelling lately.
Need to refill my capsule stock. -
Hi Funz,
I tried the two new flavors yesterday - Napoli and Trieste. Napoli's intensity 11 while Trieste is intensity 9. I tried Napoli first and liked it. It's very strong with a roasted (slightly burnt) aftertaste. I tried Trieste next. Compared to Napoli, it's milder, but still very nice. The Nespresso person described it as having chocolate undertones with an acid after taste. I just thought it was nice.
I bought a few boxes of both. You have to buy them in pairs. -
Any idea how to clean the Nespresso machine? Especially the spout area?

Wanted to order some online and realise that minimum is 200 caps. That is a lot and I may have to forego DH's regular faves if I order that. If I order that plus the regular, end up a lot. And 200 caps to try is too much.
Think will make a point to pop by one of the outlets to try and buy at the same time.
