For us, it's the chinese textbooks, which is not bound by staples. Sigh.. The rest are without corners..We dun wrap the books as dh says it will cut.. Dun know how to protect the books liao.. I juz hope they at least last till end of yr..
I find the ready-made plastic book wraps sold by school bookshop & Popular are good to use. Have been using these for all textbooks and even exercise books since P1. Help keep the books in good condition for a longer time. Don't find them too sharp or cut easily.

They come in diff sizes.
This year, I bou the ones for exercise books.
Thought all schools exercise books are same size, ended up with wrong size, got to go back to change. -

As for Bahasa Melayu, DS has no idea about the book.Lucky no test.
He thought the teacher told him to buy Semoa Bahagia. He said he knows how to count 1 to 5 now, satu, dua, TIGER...

DS took 3 hours to learn moxie and tingxie last night. 2 of 6.
Hope your ds is not too put off by the experience. It [the preparation] should get shorter as time goes by.
He was almost put off next day when he need to learn Eng sp.
Guess he will adjust by end of term 1.

As a general informal guide: do not buy any Maths textbooks until your child asks the teacher whether it will be used.:thankyou: to those who had given me the feedback on textbooks.
If teacher doesn't need it, then need not buy next year.
Or to buy only textbook A and see how it goes.
