Yeah! :hi5:Happy Mama:
DD enjoys E2K as the experiments conducted are always so fun. This year, they will be attending a few sessions of Little Professor on top of their weekly E2K sessions. Little Professor is conducted out of the school and DD can't wait for the first session.

Finally found someone who is going to the Little Professor too ! Wonder what is it about ? Is the competition at the end of the 3rd session or are they assessed throughout the 3 sessions ? DS2's school has 2 teams going.
DS2 school has external MO trainer for them and he is also in E2K as part of his program. So this year is really packed.
2 days of extra childcare not enough.
I have no idea how many teams DD's school will be sending but I do know that only 22 kids are in the E2K program. -
Anyone going for Hwa Chong FUN with Chinese Camp in May ? Any idea what is it ? Looks like there are so many programme for P5 β¦

DS2 told me only 2 from his class got selected for Little Professor, the rest from the other class & Group 2 from mainstream ...
anyway, it sounds quite interesting, just that parents need to bring the kids for the training

Hmm, your DS's school started in Pri 5? DD started E2K around July last year.[/quote]DS1 started in P5 if I didn't remember wrongly or is it P4 ? Getting old ....
Should be from P5 onwards ...dagong99:

Wow, that's good! :rahrah:
By the way, just curious, is E2K offered at Pri 5 in your DD's school? I thought it is usually offered at Pri 4?
I think there is a E2K competition after that or something... then they will get a cert which I used for his DSA. But DS2 (change school, former school same as DS1) started in P4 as part of his programme.

I'm quite a blur mum, usually dunno what's available in school. I only know what's offered to dd. Maybe they hv it at P4 but dd didn't make the cutbebebub:

Only if one wins in the competition, right? Anyway, my dd not DSA material, nothing to offerbebebub:
DD has decided to give E2K a try. Now gotta wait for Math HOD to approve her withdrawal. Just feel a bit sayang becos she did MO for 1 year liao. Moreover, MO is more relevant to PSLE
Both E2K & MO are excellent for DSA.

I just hope she enjoy the program and make more new friends. Her social circle very small. -

not the same, reasons could be class size and duration are diff......
Do they charge the same fees when u sign up with their centre?KSP:
Frankly speaking, some schs get outside vendors to conduct these additional courses and at the same time they are also promoting their courses to the students hoping the parents will sign up with their centres. Some lessons run 8-10 weeks in sch and i'm not sure how effective it can be.
This is what exactly happened for my case. dd attended these extra lessons in sch last year and ended up attending in their centres now.
dd started Math Olympiad last year, and is suppose to continue this year unless we decide to opt out. -

Yes, sounds interesting... DD's school will charter a bus to send them to the venue and back.

given the fact that dd is having more hw i try to be less nagging and scolding so that not to give her more pressure which will affect her moodβ¦ partly also i can see she is more matured nowβ¦ but i still have to make sure she finishes all the work (sch/tuition) on timeβ¦ in fact some words of encouragement and praises can really motivate her sometimesβ¦
