Can someone share what is CEP? Is that for all 9 schools or again is individual school initiative?
CEP = Computer Enrichment Programme
Supposed to be for all 9 schools, but my DS sch version seems shorter than the rest, dunno why. -
I really do not know why it’s different either. And actually it’s quite a big difference. Looking at the planned curriculum… DD will learn a lot from the module, other the usual PowerPoint etc also includes video editing, animation, photojourno etc. Every week 2 hours after school.
Everyone, how’s the homework load so far? -
DS started his 1st CEP lesson last wk and the explore what’s inside the CPU n actually get to see the inside of a CPU. Like other schs, it’s held after Sch hours, tog with IRS.
His photo journal project is under Eng, not CEP. Then there’s a mini assignment for IRS. -
Dd’s ongoing photo journal project is also under English.
CEP photography and journalism is a different thing… Learn how to create a simple news report. Have not started on this yet. -
DS only has the SS Family Tree project. IRS started last week, no assignment, just chit-chat (like an extended recess), and no IRS lesson this week. CCA will start this week and CLA will start on 7 Feb. Except Chinese ting xie, DS has no homework yet, still idling…
-
DS started the family tree project and another project, he also has a CCA that will last a term, CEP school still working on the schedule. Seems quite a bit of homework daily (Focus in Chinese)…
-
Oh, for the family tree, keep it safe as you are most likely to use it in the first portfolio entry. And for homework, first few weeks just orientation, not much hm.
-
My ds has been doing a ton of homework!!! Mostly for EL, HCL and Math. We’ve also just completed a first book review from the ERP list.
-
Aha, do kids need to do book review from the ERP list? My DS completed reading a few books from the ERP list but otherwise just reading based on his own schedule…
-
Yes, they do, one for each semester
