Absolutely not!
So I guess if you don't live < 1/2 km, automatically go into phase 2C, right?
Where you live has nothing to do with your registration phase.
Read about the different phases at the MOE website: http://www.moe.edu.sg/education/admissions/primary-one-registration/phases/ -
My son is born in 2008. Im very vexed as to whether to put my son in ACSJ (old boys) or a mission co-ed schl near my home as ive a sibling studying in the mission co-ed schl. Distance is another issue as i stay in the west. Schl bus provided but understand my son will be the 1st to board and last to reach home⦠I need some advise, pls. Thanks

Yeah, finally find someone in the same situation. We have a girl born in 2009, and live in Ghim Moh. The ballot for phase 2C for Henry Park <1km in 2012 is 300%. It is so crazy!!!!!!!!!!we are thinking New Town.......

Unless you can send/pick up your son from school yourself, I would suggest going to the co-ed school. That will solve your transport problem. It does not make sense to spend so much time commuting (+ transport costs) - worse when they get to upper Pri, what with their school day extended by CCAs & supplementary classes. Does the co-ed school have affiliated Sec school? This maybe another point you want to consider (if don't have). -
Hi, first post in the forum! Iβm an overseas-based mom who met up with a friend recently and was chastised about not being more proactive about getting my kids (b.2009, 2011) into a good primary school in Sg. Popped by here and am absolutely horrified how far behind I am!

When do we have to apply to be parent volunteers for the school, may, jun?

Every school has different closing dates. Please check with the school directly.
