Is it time to apply PVin NYPS for year 2009 born kids? I went through the school website didn't find information yet
this is the link on the school website :

\"For Singaporean and Singapore PR children born in the year 2009, the closing date for registration will be 31st July 2013.
The PV selection is not on a first-come, first-served basis. The school has the final and sole discretion in inviting shortlisted applicants for an interview, with the representatives of the school and members of the Parent-Teacher Association, which will be held in November/December 2013. We seek your understanding that the school will not be able to share with you the reasons for non-selection.
Successful PVs will be notified by year end to commence their service in area(s) which the school deems fit. They are to ensure that they will be able to meet the minimum 80 hours of voluntary service by June 2015 if they would like to be eligible for Phase 2B of the Primary One Registration Exercise.\"
Traditionally Nanyang has more volunteers than vacancies in phase 2B. Those living within 1 or 2km have much better chances as they may avoid balloting. But it is an excellent school ! -

Are the class notes, tests, and assessments from previous years useful? Just saw the Nanyang’s GEP notes on eBay. Lol.
My kid in NYPS. I’m in Clementi area though. -
Hi parents,
Any P1 or P2 kids staying in Hougang area and are keen to carpool? Please PM me for further discussion. Thank you! -
Any parents here whose child is a prefect?
Is it true that prefects have to be in school by 6:50am EVERY day?
Or just on days which they have morning duty?
DD went for prefect selection interview and came home telling us that if selected,
she would need to be in school at 6:50am every day! :faint: -

DS1 is a prefect. They only perform duties in the mornings, normally. Different entry points & assembly duty. He has gate duty every other week. On those weeks, yes, he has to be in school by 6:50am every day! -
so it's only on weeks which they have duty.
:thankyou: -
In the MTP slides, it said the HA class allocation would be using S formation. Could someone please explain "S formation"? TIA.

According to the class blog, there were 7 cases of chicken pox from the same class at TTC.
