      Dear Mummies,

I felt that searching for a childcare center is like doing a PHD research, very tedious. I am moving to Sembawang end of the year, hence looking for a CC to place my 3 and 2 years old girls. I have placed my elder one in a void deck CC for about 1 year, but have decided the new CC I put her in will be landed or one with lots of outdoor facilities.
Void deck is very convenient but for the kids, outdoor play is only limited to walking around the estate or the public playground(occassionaly)

I kind of prefer country club more than landed. Some landed looked very run down and caged up.

      I've checked out:
      1. Learning Vision @ Republic Poly - Full next year and will not take in new wait list.

      2. Little Skool Hse @ OCC - Only PM half day avaible. However, I not so impressed as the students are cooped up in the concrete walls, kind of like a high class void deck.

I also found out that there is this new Cambridge CDC (http://www.cambridgecdc.com/singapore.htm) opening in Oct/Nov at Admiral Hill Country Club. I visited the place with my kids last weekend and they loved the big ship and the vast playground. I also quite liked that place as it is breezy and perched on top of a small hill. It is walking distance to Sembawang MRT too.

Anyone can tell me more about Cambridge CDC or Beaver @ Safra Yishun?

      Thanks

i've enrolled my gal at edelweiss kindergarten (sembawang presbyterian church)

i like the environment very much - with outdoor sheltered playground, dining room, etc.
teachers looks nice and experienced too
                for 3.5hrs a day mon-fri, $600 a term is really worth it
now keep my fingers crossed my gal will enjoy going to school hehe..
she seemed enjoy the place when we went there to view the place

For those staying in the north, you can try Little Leader Kindergarten. A private kindergarten in Chong Pang at very reasonable fee. There is transport for those who stay in Woodlands, Sembawang and other parts of Yishun (of course got to pay)). They really prepare the kids (esp K2) for P1. I feel this will reduce the shock when kids go to P1.

Hi, me too, looking for the same thing. There is a new kindergarten call Rightstart Kindergarten in Sembawang. It's under the Tumble tots group.

Been asking around, so far no feed back

Hi, i have got some info from some other parents... My Little Campus and Joy Montessori at sembawang can consider..mainly base on parents expectation..i Will consider either one once visitin all the recommended school..If money isn't your consent, MRC is quite a good place as well.

Anyway thanks for all the information..

                    regards
                    Ceshayne

                    Hi Ceshayne,

Have you manage to put your child into any of the childcare around Sembawang/Yishun? Any feedback?

My child turning 18mth, am looking for one.

                    Thanks!

I went to see eldeweiss yesterday. found that the environment is very nice and quiet.

What I like about the school is that the main door is locked and cannot open from outside I think. The place looks clean and nice and tidy. a very nice environment for littls kids. Though it is aircon-ed, but there is an outdoor playground or something for children to play.

any recommendations for good preschools in these areas?

im currently looking at New Life Kindy, Edelweiss (new school) Evangel and St Anthony's. the latter is a child care centre but i heard fm a friend that they offer flexi care programmes as well.

any feedbacks on these above mentioned schools? or anyone has better recommendation?
