However, that doesn't guarantee you'll pass the interview or other 'obstacles to entry'. What you're observing is the operation of the free market, really — ACS(I) students actually aren't feeling it as badly as IB students from other schools; when we began the programme, the entry score for Oxbridge was 36 points; it now needs 41 to be safe, with 7/7/6 minimum for the three HL subjects.
Still not a problem for most ACS(I) students. I should know; I've counselled hundreds of them, literally.

For everyone else, almost certainly. I charted the rise of ACS(I) against the rest of the IB population and found that not only did entry scores rise, but other schools began to change their internal policies in order to compete.

Thank you very much. It is very reassuring to know. Do you know if our local universities are just as accepting of the IB (compared to A levels which they may be more familiar with) and if so what entry scores would be "safe" for entry to local universities generally?

Over the last few months, I have also been told by friends about the above regarding the IB (not ACS(I) specific). Further, they mentioned only universities in USA \"recongnise\" the IB but not many universities in UK does. However, I asked my BIL who studied in UK and he said IB is known there although he is not sure about Uni entry requirements. What's the situation on this based on past graduates data ?
Since 41/45 is a very very good score, does it mean a score of 35-40 means no possiblity to enter local universities ? What paths do past graduates who scored about 35+- typically take ? -

35-40 is an excellent score still. The UCAS tariff tables can be found http://www.ucas.com/students/ucas_tariff/tarifftables/#ib. You'll see that 35 is 500+ points, about equivalent to a H2 AAA/AAB A-level score (depends on what other subjects are taken, the relative importance of subjects, etc.; also, the Singapore-Cambridge A-level is considered tougher than most).
In practice, ACS(I) students have had no problem entering schools in terms of their qualification (the IB Diploma) and grades.

As for local universities, all of them have policies concerning the IB as well. For example, http://www.nus.edu.sg/oam/apply/local/ib/BYA-ib.html. It's relatively easy to get in if you score 35 and above, which is I think what 90+% of the ACS(I) cohort scores.
I believe the school has such data. They don't track it exhaustively (since not all students who get admitted to institution X actually enter, and not all who enter an institution graduate from it — there are transfers etc). -
