I think your electronic translator might have got you misunderstood the meaning....

        What I actually wrote was:-

In the old days people valued selflessness. But this generation seems to make a virtue out of selfishness.

Since there are more peasants than rich people and PAP needs votes to stay in power. Why are they doing this? Are they crazy? :?

The whole model seems to bank on the presumption that foreigners will always flock to Singapore as and when our govt wants them to..

What if, in 10-20 years' time, there are other far more attractive cities for them to emigrate to? Would they still want to come here?

And after getting all ready for that supposed \"worst case scenario\" of 6.9m, immigrant doesn't flock here--as they've anticipated, then how? What are we gonna do with the presumed \"Singaporean PMET\" core then?

If they can lack forsight few years ago, there's no reason why the same batch of policy-makers wouldn't lack forsight yet again, is there?

So much for \"preparing for the worst\".
Then Singaporeans don't have to worry about overcrowding lor. There will be lots of space and a laid back life. Isn't that what a lot of people are asking for?

I am not interested to speculate whoever's intention.

But, say, IF I am a selfish person. If I were currently in control of a company and I foresee that my control may not be sustainable in the long run, I would implement policies in my best interests regardless of the other individual's protest in preparation of the inevitable. Till then, I build up my golden nest     When it is time to handover, I gladly give up the control and enjoy my retirement in maybe Sentosa clove and my offsprings are well taken care of.. Leave the mess to those taking over..

When the bubble eventually bursts and the economy sours, the scheme spirals downward with higher unemployment, depressed wages, falling incomes, more people sinking into debt, more homeless families — and more men, women and children on public assistance.

That is the stage when the advocates of Ponzi demography — notably enterprises in construction, manufacturing, finance, agriculture and food processing — consolidate their excess profits and gains. That leaves the general public to pick up the tab for the mounting costs from increased population growth (e.g., education, health, housing and basic public services).

Then you should standby another group of opposition, to ensure your voted oppo wu chor kang  just like now.
