      Imami:
After a high tension month, the cny holidays are really a welcome.

I just to vacuum the floor, clean the toilet, mop the recess area, and clean up the kitchen one last time... Some laundry to clear...wah like still hv a lot hor? Faint
Yes, the CNY weekend is a good one.
Housework is never ending. I went to NTUC after that, around 12...the queues were long, it was quite hard to move. People were buying so many things...staff were taking out trays of raw fish, chicken, veg from cold room. Cashiers were visibly tired.
But my brother said he couldn't go into NTUC at 7pm...it was simply packed !!!

Janet, the supermakets are like the new age "Chinatown street during cny".

Gosh, luckily I don’t need to stock up much food stuff. And convenient stores are as usual - very empty. I shall just get what I need from the 7-eleven.

It's ridiculous to buy from market stores...the stall owners do not have fixed prices.

Even though I complain about the endless housework, body aches etc etc...I still don't want a maid again. Those years when we had maid one after another...high costs plus the problems they give....enough !!!
Frustrating having a stranger in the house, have to house and feed her.

CNY really no big deal. I do not have guests.

I like to buy something of good quality like hero jam, better oyster sauce, rice or soya sauce. I believe in quality food since we cannot get that outside.

For health reasons. Always tell my kids even my potatoes are better, though not organic.

No maid means I can do what I want…eat what I want to…with a maid, sometimes a simple curry puff for them becomes a ‘necessity’. Like what the agency said, don’t start this kind of little treats or maids take for granted…it’s so true. The things they do just drive you up the wall. Without a maid now, I get backache or some aches doing housework…but my heart doesn’t ache. With maids, they waste water, gas, food etc etc. Household expenditure goes up tremendously.

As a SAHM, we do not see need to buy pretty clothes...hardly any chance to wear them esp since we are under 'house arrest' most of the time 😢

When we are stuck at home, we want to get out...but when we go out, we end up in household, children's dept or Popular bookstores. If I see something nice, I ask myself, 'do I need this?' Most of the time, the answer is no. So the outing becomes aimless walking.
