I didn’t buy much also. Just a few tins. But the visitors bought more tins so end up with a lot more.

After a few days of feasting, everyone in my family was asking for more qing dan food when they came to my house. So it was fish beehoon soup for lunch and teochew porridge for dinner.

Then this year bak kwa not a lot. Goodness, last year me alone finished 4 x 600g! 肥死我!

This year's supply of mandarin oranges very little leh. Cannot find any at NTUC anymore. Last year I remember eating them well into the 15 days of CNY. 😢 I haven't had my fill yet.

Oh, it’s the opposite at my end. I told my mum to get me some. Her "some" = one carton = 40+ oranges! I think I will stuff myself silly with oranges this year.

I think I shd just keep quiet next time. Last yri say I like bak kwa, suddenly so many pack of bak kwa.this yri say I want some oranges, I got one carton. I am not complaining, but to eat alone, These qty are just too much to stomach.

I love the preparation and hustle bustle of a busy kitchen. Can imagine your mum baking all the goodies with tender loving care.

You lucky gal. Your mum sure knows how to feed her brood.
