Hougang 苏老师学堂 - Discussion
-
Good morning
Is there a website I can refer to for Mind Language?
Does any parent here send their children to 苏老师学堂? From their website, it seems that there are so many different aspects to the teaching of the language.
ie: speed reading and selective compre, compo writing and good sentences structures, etc.
Does this mean that we have to sign up for ALL the courses to have the overall development / coaching?tsjoreng:
苏老师学堂 is at Blk 425 Hougang Ave 6, opp Hougang Mall.
Their website - http://3gsu.com.sg/
Saw the papers from one of my friend's daughter who is in P6 and found interesting. Now in the midst of deciding which time slots to sign up for my P5 and P1.
My P3 boy in Mind Language 534 Hougang Ave 8 and not bad too, just that not many time slots to choose.
The one in Hougang Mall Level 5 is Zhi Ying Language. -
Hi Krazy,

My younger gal is currently with Su lao shi xue tang. She just started last month with them, so still early to give my comment if they are good. According to my gal, she quite like the lesson and teacher. There is a chinese game quiz at the end of the lesson which i find it quite different in terms of teaching method. Least , i find that not so boring for the kids and unlike some other chinese program(too academic based). And they are using reward system for the kids which i feel that it will helps to motivate children to work harder. The class size is very small too which one thing i like about it. The only set back is their class schedule is very limited. My elder gal is in Tien Hsia and she find it quite boring and too academic. One thing good about tien hisa is their worksheets is good and they are close to MOE syllabus that will dwell and prepare them towards PSLE which some parents will like it and some will hate it. So nothing fantastic about them. For younger age group children, i do not encourage too academic base program for them as this may cause them to lose their interest in Chinese learning just like my younger gal. So not neccessary to go for all programs. Depends on one's child abiliity and weakness in the area. -

Thanks!!
I see. My girl is in P2 this year. I mean, she is alright with the language still but because we converse in English primarily and both my hub and I aren't fantastic with Mandarin so I decided to put her with professionals.SengkangMum:

Sengkang Mum:
The Mind Language link doesn't work.
hmmm Did a search and found a page but it's Contact Page doesn't list \"538 Hougang Ave 8\" so I don't know if I am looking at the same Mind Language Centre.
Anyways, the link : http://www.mindlanguage.com.sg/contactus.html
I tried calling the telephone number listed on 3G enrichment;苏老师 website and got an announcement that the number is not available. No one answers the mobile number listed too.
Should I be worried? I mean, is the Centre relocating? I want to ask about time slot and availability of classes but can't speak to the people.
okay, prior to me typing this message, I sent an email ([email protected]) and .... my mail bounced. I don't have a good feeling about this. -
Hi Krazy,
Did you try calling the mobile number listed at the contact page? That is where I found the person in charge. You can try calling again.
The email addresse given should be correct. If not, you can google search under mavis tutorial and you will find the link of minds language. Not every centre will be listed on the contact page. Or give mavis HQ a call to check. I have a feeling that blk 538 hougang mayb no longer in operation. Btw, where u stay currently? 1 -
Sengkang Mum:
I see. OKay, noted..
I am living in Hougang and hence looking for a Centre that is in the same estate to minimize traveling time.
