got! got! an auntie of my hubby would also ask,\"how much you earn per month?\" :rotflmao:

My SIL would say \"$100k\", my hubby would say \"$200k\" and the BIL would say \"$300k\" each time.
some folks are just nosy, but they dont mean harm and would stop if they sense your discomfort/annoyance. Some folks are just plain irritating, they dont stop even if you give them rubbish answers. That auntie I've mentioned about is one lor... :slapshead:

I have a 4 year old son…with no cousins from both sides.

I am thinking if I should go for IVF to have another one…but I am 40 year old already.

Yes I can see that he is lonely, sometimes he try to join others in public playground but most of the time being turned down.

He has health problem and already gone through 3 brain operations over the past 1.5 years.

Now finally he is well, I am thinking if I should try to give him a sibling.

Poor boy..... He must be craving for playmates. Too bad my DS already 13 don't think they can play together.
I would go for it if can afford. I regret not having more when I was younger.

Hi, me too, just discovered this thread only....I have a girl..she is also the only child...shes coming to 8yo now. I know she is lonely, wish I could give her a sibling but......cannot afford la, Singapore standard of living is way too high.

i've a 5yo and to be complete honest, he was an accident. i never planned to have kids at all. but here's my 2 cents worth anyway....

1) i don't have many relatives and the ones i have aren't kay-poh, but if i had to, i'd say that i want to stop at one.
2) i never wanted 1 so i don't have any inferiority complex regarding this.
3) i'd say, u can play with your cousins or with your friends.
4) i taught mine to be independent and he's naturally reserved, so I don't face much of a problem.
5) i enrolled him in one of julia gabriel's classes as soon as he was able to go so that he can get some interaction from other kids and adults. he seemed to enjoy it.
6) erm... yeah mine doesn't really want to share, but the school was really into 'take turns' so he slowly learned. Also, I'll bring him out with my friends' kids so as he plays with them, he learns to share from there.
Hope that you will be able to work things out.
I feel that you just need to be proud of yourself and what you've accomplished. You don't have to care so much about what other people think. Your family is yours. You make the decisions. No one else has the right to say anything or influence you.
If i had cared so much about what other people think, I would be dead 6 yrs ago.

My gal was an accident too and we too didnt wana hv kids. :rahrah:
