My favorite teachers were not just good at teaching; they also motivated and inspired their students.

None of them taught math (the subject I am teaching), but they have impressed upon me the importance of motivation alongside teaching.

I would like to add beside motivation, great teachers will not judge you for who you are. Plus they will help you see your strengths and guide you how to use it...i have great respect for such teachers and I still remember my Primary school teachers who believed in me when I was still a Pri school kid. 😃

        I always remember this quote:
[quote]An understanding heart is everything in a teacher, and cannot be esteemed highly enough. One looks back with appreciation to the brilliant teachers, but with gratitude to those who touched our human feeling. The curriculum is so much necessary raw material, but warmth is the vital element for the growing plant and for the soul of the child.
