Hi hi, anyone knows if being parent volunteer really helps to get my son into radin mas? My son is k1 this year. I Need to register to become volunteer already....
Depends on the distance between your house and the school. -

It's not a 1-to-1 session.really so chan???
Mine is this week for DS 's P1 and Im already afraid I will fall asleep especially if its not a one to one session then I see no point for me to go waste time...
Have you met the form teacher personally? If not, you may like to attend the teacher's session, just to say \"hi\" to the teacher. Don't expect to get much out of such sessions. -

Ya, I personally know the teacher well already. so.. can I skip?

Thanks class monitor. I live between 1-2km from rmps. When does the dist kick in? Does it mean all those living within 1-2km will get extra chance in ballot if PV is done?
-
Balloting will occurs in any Phases once the demand exceeds supply given. Those who did PV will have priority to register in Phase 2B.

Is your child a Singaporean? Last year, there was balloting in P2B for Singaporeans in the 1-2 km category. However, it was like 25 vying for 24 places (or 24 vying for 23 places). Only one applicant was unsuccessful. This year's situation may be different, though.
Since you are in this distance category and if you really want your child to go RMPS, looks like you don't have a choice. You need to apply as PV. There's no need to ask if PV really helps because you won't even get the chance to ballot in P2C.
As a PV, you get to register one phase earlier (P2B) than non-PVs (P2C).
What is your backup school, if any? -
Hi everyone
I managed to attend both the teachers’ session yday.
P1 session is the usual stuff i expected to hear…get to see the new classroom, really better than the old one or at least better than my DS1 classrm.
Took away some tips in working on english paper…DS1 teacher is good as she gave out the kids practice paper n go thru w the parents and told us wat to expect and wat she expects as well as some guidance in doing the paper. She oso told us wat she told the kids in handling the english paper. I felt that is meaningful ane something i tink i din expect the teacher to share in such a session. To sum up, i m impressed.
coordination was good this round, i was guided to the classroom so i din lose my way -
