How to destress?
-
Augmum:
These days my local Library is good to zip in get books and zip out. It is no longer a place I can sit and browse or read. Every seat is hogged by Ah Peks snoozing, maids minding the young kids, teenagers dating/doing homework with all their barang barang strewn everywhere and young adults tethered to the electrical plugs. At opening times, many fight to be the first to rush in to get their hands on the newspaper. Quite a sight. Maybe it's just my library.
Yes, library is a good outlet to go too.slmkhoo:
I don't enjoy shopping either. If I feel a need to go out and don't have anywhere else to go, I usually go to a library! Then I go home, make a cup of tea and read. That's my de-stressing method - I always tell my family that it's a lot cheaper than retail therapy and gin!
Spending a lazy, quiet afternoon, browsing those cookery books.....

Mawar, all libraries like that leh these days.. but like Augmum mentioned.. weekdays not so much. Have similar sightings but not as much.. I used to get a good three hours with chubs sleeping in the buggy while waiting for dds to finish supp class but with the wittle dragon now (not the nap type) have yet to have a chance to go library to destress.. not that i am stressed or anything.

Ohh yess.. wrapping prezzies is kinda therapeutic for me too. :please:I put a lot of love into wrapping presents... yes, some pple like DH do find it a chore so I volunteer to wrap

Guess that's due to my love for origami and crafts. And it takes some skill to make it look good. -

I don't like to sit and read in the library, as you say, it's quite crowded. I just browse, borrow and go home.

Try QUEENSTOWN library then.....is rather quiet on weekdays afternoon....
And becos it is quiet, so yes.....u can see some men napping there.....
I think libraries located in the malls rank the worst, as it is more like a children playground....
