Based on today's talk, it's top 5% for those who cleared round 1.

5% will be referring to the entire p3 cohort in SG. If phpps is the base, the % is much higher. Eventually, only the top 500 of p3 students will get into GEP.

I think the % who pass first round is not fixed. Sometimes it is around 4000, that means 8% of cohort.
Yep .. it is around 3000-4000 kids depending on the cohort ..
Some years the cohort are 33,000 ... some are as high as 43,000.
      Generally it is around 10%.

However .... to be eligible for TLTT ... or other inter-mingling programs .... the kids need to be in the top 5%. So even if a kid cleared round one, they might not be eligible for these programs

Was CA1 Eng difficult? My son said that it was. Hopefully still can maintain B1.

DS said he isn't confident too.. I am calibrating my expectations this time round 🤷

CA1 is usually the killer. My dd said P4 Maths was tough too .. hopefully that's the sentiment share by majority of the cohort 😞

For P4 Math, my son was not able to finish the last question due to lack of time.

This year, the amt of homework and difficulty of spelling/moxie level went up a notch or two; coupled with the earlier sleeping time due to morning session meant that time mgt becoming significant in P3.

I think that's the pattern for the years ahead. Heard P5 workload is even heavier.

P5 Work load definitely higher than that of p4, plus the content and difficult level also went up a lot. Anyway, at least can take a tiny break after the exams 😂

My boy came home saying he has the 3rd highest HCL mark in his HCL class for this CA1.

Congrats? He failed the paper though- 29/60

Last week, we came across an OE compreh passage in a top school P6 normal Chinese CA1 paper.

That passage was used in PH P4 one of the HCL exam paper.

Did anyone know whether there is any supplementary class during the June holiday for P5 during the past years? :?:
