Hi All Parents of Sec 1 who has sons who joined NCC Land,


Understood that there is a camp this Fri to Sat. Wonder if you were told to buy some of the stuffs (mess tin, tommy stove, etc) on our own or to buy from school NCC or they will provide? Any idea if they were told that they need to wear their No 4 uniform?

If so, need to quickly search for a store selling all of these.

Hi Newage,
I don't know whether or not you need to buy those stuff for NCC (Land) camp. For scout's camp, the letter from Scout CCA comes with a form for you to specify whether you want to buy these items or not.
In case NCC land does not have this form and you need to buy it yourself, I think you can get it from the Scout Headquarter at Bishan.

Sorry for the late response and thanks for the advice. Unfortunately the list from NCC is not as detail as that of scout's. Anyway, went down to Beach Road where all the camping stuffs could be found.

Was thinking of applying for the IB for Sec3, but from the school's briefing, seems like local Uni have set their entry via IB score unrealistically high.
My DS also seems to be frighten off by the school expectation of their IB students....
his results \"may be just\" make it...
not sure if I shld apply....any comments/suggestions...:)

I believe many ACS(I) students had made it to local Universities with their reasonable IB scores so should be alright.

Anyway if you look at the SJI IP Track Leadership Panel, there are already representatives from NUS, NTU and SMU on it too.
