I just checked with the school bus operator and they say will only know the price and time to pick up my son next week. 😞

Anyone knows the total number of P1 classes next year?

I like the idea of no exam, cos my child cannot sit still in class. Wonder how are the P1 teachers would manage the child. Heard many horror stories of child cannot sit still or ask many questions in class from other school. A bit worry for him now. 🙏

My guess is 9 classes since there are 30 students per class totaling 270 places.

Where do you stay? Thought the price was quite fixed when enquired during orientation...

Yes, there will be 9 classes. And if not wrong, the bus fare will be a minimum of S$60. And it can go to as high as $130 if u are staying further away.

            Hi,

Check with you. I don’t see ballet in the list of CCAs on St Anthony’s website. Can I confirm that there is no ballet CCA?

            Thanks.

Yes, they do have ballet in the school. I remembered my son coming home with a form for ballet class sometime in late Term 1 or early Term 2. But you need not worry too much about CCAs at this point in time, as most P1s do not have a CCA.

But if u are really interested in having your child enrolling in a particular CCA, then you should ask your child to pay attention to announcements made in the hall during 12.30 - 1 pm (time when children are doing their silent reading), this usually happens a few weeks after the start of the school term after the children have sort of settled down in school.

Announcements of CCAs such as Cultural Dance, Wushu, TaeKwando, Ballet, etc are usually made during such timings, and for P1s, it is usually the more alert ones who will take note of such announcements and collect the necessary enrolment forms from the teachers-in-charge.

My child would be fetched from Clementi.

The bus operator called. They say for first day of school, need to pick the child up at 10.30 am. A bit ridiculous to me! What time does school starts for PM Session?

That really sounds ridiculous. as children only need to be in the hall by 12.30pm for their silent reading. But most children who go by school bus reach school before 12.15pm. I am staying 3 streets away from the school, and my kids need to be picked up at 11.50. It used to be 12.

Hi, I’ve heard that St Anthony will be upgrading and they will be moving soon…

Can any parents advise when this will be and for how long? I also heard they will shift temporarily to Jurong East? Can any parents kindly clarify? Thanks…

As of late last year, there was still no news of SAPS relocating. But I do not think the news of the school relocating to Jurong East is true.

dazhong will shift out of its holding school in JE in 2 yrs time. hope that SAPS will not shift there as holding site then. but then again, how to upgrade school on current site when there are lessons being held concurrently?
