Mummies & Daddies of gals in IJ TP, u know..yesterday i went for the PV for my gal's P2 lifeskills. It was fun and rewarding. Nice feel too. I even managed to get my girl having recess and she was so hapi and hugged me and kissed me and even intro me to her friends.

Most of us were posted to our gals' class and we bonded with our gals as long as all the gals there.

I hope to do it again soon.

So I would advise if you guys can make it, go and do it at least once. Yesterday was my first time and I hope to do it again. 🙂

I attend last year’s life skills too. It was an interesting experience to see how my daughter interacted with her classmates.

              Hi,

Any P2 mummies? I just got the letter about the swimming lessons that are compulsory??? I cannot imagine 4 classes of 7 yr olds (ie 120 kids) in a public pool at the same time! Sounds awfully dangerous to me! Although my girl can swim cos she has been doing lessons for a while, I still think P2 is too young to force them to swim in such great numbers. Can mummies of the older primary girls who have been thru the swim lessons put my worries at ease? Thanks!

I understand your worry...my daughter went for the swimming lesson last year. The girls are split into different groups...those who cannot swim, know how to swim a little, and can swim very well. My daughter refused to go swimming without a float initially...though she cannot swim very well after the lessons, the comfort now is she is not afraid to go to the pool w/out float...and even more daring than before.

Hi Janet, thanks for sharing. I wrote to the HOD to express my concerns cos I remember my own primary school swim lessons… I think I almost drowned once and a bigger girl had to drag me to the end cos there were 20 of us thrashing about doing laps in the water and the coach had no idea I was in trouble. And this was when I was in P4 or P5. If the school insists on the lessons then maybe I will appoint myself as PV and watch her myself… Hahaha… 10 lessons in the mid-day sun!

my daughter knocked out after bath/lunch…she was really tired.
