Comparing Science Enrichment Programs

Haha, these days, it's hard to find kids who are idling at homeDo you know of any? I'm thinking of sending my DD to one so that she will not idle her time away at home (eating, playing and watching TV prog) while I'm working.
There are not many March holiday camps that I know. Many do their camps during June holidays.
I know of parents who packed their kids schedule to the MAX even during the holiday
Well, no time to stand and stare lol
There's one March holiday camp that I know of. It's by Young Engineers who are doing science enrichment using LEGO. You can check out their website here: http://www.youngengineers.edu.sg for more details on their Mar camp. But it's almost fully booked already if you look at their site. -

Hi Love Clouds,Science Alive at Eastgate.

If your kid is P6, ask for teacher Fara, as she is experienced in P6, though a little naggy (keep reminding my DD to take note of this and that).
I went over to the centre mention this morning. I spoke to the admin staff Lala and she was very informative and patient ( I ask endless questions!). Though she's not the teacher she explains very well I must say!. My DD is doing PSLE this year and looking at their lesson plans I am quite happy. I sign up for a trial suggested by Lala next Saturday and will see if it works for her. I didn't get to talk to teacher Fara. Though I have a good feeling with Science Alive. Hopefully! -
Hi Adoncia, I am interested in your tutor Miss Tan for my DD and I would like to have her contact no. too. Pls pm me.

I went to the trial class last sat. My DD likes it. She said Teacher Fara was very patient in answering her doubts. Especially the P6 topics. She came home telling me all about \"Gravitational Potential energy\" and \"Chemical Potential energy\" (something that I have no recall knowledge off!). All I can see is that she came home feeling confident and though PSLE is round the corner I hope she feels ready.Love Clouds:

My son was taught by Teacher Farah when he was in P4 all the way to PSLE. He is now currently in RI. Never in a million years I would have imagined my son to be in RI. P3 Science was a struggle fr my boy. But after much help from Farah he finally gets A* for Science for PSLE. She is a very patient teacher. Always ready to help when in doubt. I would recommend her really. I didn't know that she is now in Science Alive. Will definitely pay her a visit. N also equally important, Lala, the admin staff made my life easier. As a working mum who constantly travel, scheduling and planning is very important. Whenever there's interruption (eg public hols or personal matter) it's always a headache for me to reschedule n replace his classes. Unlike other tuition centres who always gave me the 'Come-or-get-forfeited-lor' attitude, Lala will literally sat down with me and plan my boy's replacement Science class and make sure that he will not miss any of his class. Totally value for money I tell ya! Esp d last few months of PSLE Lala helped me a lot in d scheduling and as my son has so much xtra classes in school. It was a turn-off when other tuition centre keep giving me the NO-REFUND-HOR and DAMN-MAFAN-LOR-THIS-LADY look. Try them out. I had nothing but good praises for them. -
Anyone has feedbacks for Growan? Is the curriculum good? I have mix feeling though. The lady I spoke to seems to be pushing away my questions and looks very snobbish. Anyone has experience with Growan?
