Yes, it is definately terrible juggling work with family and without support. Now need to manage the depressed emotions on a Sunday after spending meaningful times with our family and going back to work tml.

Does any of your superiors hinted at although u have family commitments they would still expect u to put in the effort to move up the corporate ladder?
Er....The part in red yes. The part in blue, no need to think la.

Will anyone support their husband's decision if he wants to quit his job and study full time?

For me, of cos not for practical reasons - he earns a lot more than me currently and I am definitely better at managing the home and the kid.

My DH told me he wants to quit his job to focus on his studies as he wants to do a career switch. I will have to solely bear the finances for a few years until he finishes his studies.

I earn substantially more than him and all along I allow him to control how I spend money because I do not want to hurt his self esteem. I feel very tired everyday after work and I still need to take care of my son and all the housework. It's very tiring and mentally draining.

Sometimes I just find that he didn't consider how I feel.

My superior has somewhat hinted and of course said that with more effort put in, there would be rewards at work thus the part on moving up the corporate ladder. But effort would means more time spent at work, initiatives, innovations and ideas. By the time I reach home I'm half dead, my husband the other zombie as well haha. Think only my girl is the most energentic at home. That's why sometimes I try not to bring work home and during the weekends- it is family time but sometimes it is really v difficult.ftwm, any tips to juggle?

And of course if we have sufficient savings to tide us through during the time he is studying. Could it be that he wants to be able to get a better paying job to ease your burden in the long run?

We have substantial savings. But I'm very worried because the last time he gave up his studies half way. I do not dream that he can lessen my burden at all. If he can hold on to his current job, it's more than enough for me. I just feel that he is overwhelmed with stress easily.

Work part time, he claim he can't cope. School fees dig from our joint account which means its mainly money which I saved up religiously over the years.

He refused to work part time claiming that he can’t cope. I work part time from JC up till university. I know not easy but you just got to slog it out.

Creative director to accountant is a drastic change. I will not encourage it. People who are successful in these two jobs tend to be polar opposites.

Accounting job is stressful too, and long hours when it is time to close the accounts.

If he really wants to pursue it, he can study part time. If he cannot slog it out, the hard truth is that he will not be able to take accounting hours either.
