Like i updated you guys today... this mom ain't cookin' lunch today. Went to meet up a forummer to pick up cute baby stuff for my lil' dragon_boi and headed straight to Manhattan Fish Market for lunch. I was early for my lunch date with my friend so i got a corner seat for us so i could easily park my giant buggy. While waiting, i read that Manhattan Fish Market is currently having their $19.90 for two set meals promotion. So that was what i had...


When DD2 rang to say she could knock off early (no extra lessons), she was beyond overjoyed when i told her to meet me at the restaurant.

Service at the Causeway Point outlet was great as usual. Prompt service. Great for hungry auntie like me... cannot wait so long... might beat someone up.

We both took the free flow coke for drinks you know with the days so hot of late and drinks came barely minutes after we ordered together with the soup of the day that came with the set lunch... i think it was a cream seafood soup. Yumz. :drool: There were bits of prawn in it and perhaps clam (or perhaps i was dreaming it) I downed mine in minutes, after i shared some with the restless baby boy beside me trying to do a jailbreak from his baby chair.

DD2 ordered the Feesh and Cheese for herself, somethin' which i initially wanted for myself but i ordered something with rice so i could feed/share it with my boys.

Their dory fish fried so lite in their light batter... drizzled with their special cream sauce... paired together with crunchy salad side and ohhh who can say no to cheese, aye? Sorry, there was supposed to be two fish in the set but DD2 already wolfed down the other. Kids after school eat like hungry ghosts. :scared: Ohh... and my wittle boi snapped up all the fries without the cheese as fast as his sista. He loves fries. He was actually made of it. Yap. Potatoes. :please:

I had the Spicy Baked Fish with Garlic/Herb Rice..... served with bits of carrot and broccoli. I frankly would've loved more veggie in this meal but the fish was powderfully spicy - a tad of tom-yammy and assamy tinge to it and lotsa chilli padi. I loike of course.. :drool: It was served nice and hot and the fish was frrrresh.

It was a noisy lunch with my girlfriend, since we talked so loud like we own the place. In my defense, the music was a tad loud. :imcool:

Hopped down to the supermarket there.. Cold Storage. We (my girlfriend and i) got grilled chicken to whip up a quickie (dinner) for the boss. Frankly, i'm getting quite good with these quickies.


Aniwaes, as promised i did an ice-cream recce for my favourite frenz in cyberspace and here you go...

Swensens ice-cream can be bought here. Likewise for the Tillamook. Told my friend we gotta buy this last just before we head to the cashier. We got side-tracked by a phonecall she had and some girl banter and actually left the supermarket without buying ice cream! :stupid:

But we decided to rush for a waffle fix at Gelare to make up for it.... bbbbbbut....

Auntie.. i found this ice-cream haven with giant doors that opened up to loads of stacked up ice-cream at COLD STORAGE la. :slapshead:

Causeway Point oni got one supermarket and it's COLD STORAGE.
