Order from Dangdang

Hello, sorry I am not sure if this is the correct thread to post this but I really need some help with my item tracking, hope someone could shed some light on this issue.


when I track my item, this status "Departure from outward office of exchange" has appeared since a month ago. However, the latest update is still "departure from outward office of exchange".
The following is my tracking result:

That’s normal, give it another month or so for status to change. Doesn’t mean that the items are still in the harbour, just that takes a while for status to be updated to Singapore.

I’m not sure how long the items stay in China after despatch to courier but fr experience usually takes abt 8 - 12 wks to reach my address. Once I bought it during their long holidays and I think took longer to reach me. But very normal, so far DangDang has not failed me. LOL

Hi, thanks for the prompt reply. So I was told that the item was exported on 3rd March, does that mean it would only arrive in Singapore in May? If it's already exported, why are there many instances of \"departure from office of exchange\"? Sorry I am very new to this. Thanks for the help!

The outward office is like their custom. I don’t know why that status is repeated so many times.

Ya. Buying from dangdang is an exercise in faith and patience. Things usually reach me after many weeks of waiting…but so far they have never failed me. Last count I think is about 8 to 10 weeks

i have been ordering from Peeka , i had the same doubts previously and clarified with the cust svc support . It is actually not the GST , as Peeka uses container to ship the items over via sea , there is a 7% GST tax required from the customs .

Anyone ordered from Peeka before ? Or what taobao agents are you using and do you mind sharing some feedbacks ?

I tried Peeka and its pretty not bad through the recommendation of my colleague to order some books for my DD . To my surprise, actually the shipping cost is pretty affordable but its more worth it if u order more as there is a $5 handling fee for 100 bucks or less per order.

I have using peeka for the past 2-3 years. So far so good for their service and I find their handling price is reasonable.

Please do not buy their shoes, clothings, electrical stuff. Not good quality. So wasted lots of money.

Infact, buy direct from peeka rather than join the spree. So troublesome. Peeka sent items direct to your house, isn't it better?
