At my DD's birthday party recently, we were talking to her classmates as a run-up to the party proper and the topic fell on to a girl who was not invited...think it's quite obvious why but because DD2 is not the know, she asked:


DD2: \"Why is K not invited che che?\"

DD1: \"coz I didn't invite her!\"

DD2:\"why che che? Isnt' she the monitress?\"

DD1: \"Yeah, but I didn't want to invite her!\"

DD2: \"but why?\"

V(a guest):\"coz she's very bad....\"

DD2:\"why's she bad?\"

V: \"next time when you grow up, you'd know...\" but they're only 2 years apart

DD2: \"why is K very bad?\"

V: \"so she doesn't get invited to ANY parties...\"

A (another guest): \"but I invited her to mine...coz mine was in the beginning of the year...and I didn't know she was so bad...\"

DD2: \"what bad things did she do?\"

V:\"next time you grow up, you don't be like that okay? Or you'd have no friends....K is this 5 letter word beginning with \"B\"...do you know what it is?\"

DD2: (who incidentally can only spell limited words)\" what's that?\"

V: \"haiyah, it's a very bad word you know...if you're like that, no one wants to be your friend\"...

DH was by then thinking :!:

DD2: \" but I still don't know what K did to deserve this...\"

V: (with a dramatically sharp intake of breath)\" haiyah, K is so super duper bossy loh!\"

:faint: DH nearly flooored coz I think he was at first wondering if the 5-letter B word was one that rhymed with itch!
