Anyone's kid participating in the GAUSS MO contest this May? DS is registered for Grade 7 but I see that the Sect C qns are beyond P3 syllabus. He won't be able to ans those as he's not taught geometry and other advanced topics. What level (relative to local primary std) is grade 7? Thx

      If I'm not wrong, Grade 7 = Sec 1

Thanks dagong99. No wonder for sect C, the qns looked unfamiliar. In fact sect B oredi had some qn beyond ds’s comprehension.

It is a P6 competition, although during my time P5s could compete as well : )

Doing well in SMOPS will put the child in DSA phase 1 for HCI.

For my ds' school, the preliminary round will be held in the afternoon within the school compound.
