Hi, I'm new in ksp. May I know what is ESIS ?

Can Gep student apply? If so, how to?
Atfer applying does the student need to
apply every yr for six yrs (ip)? Thanks.

Edusave Entrance Scholarships for Independent Schools (EESIS)

The EESIS are awarded up to the top one-third of the total number of Secondary One pupils admitted to all Independent Schools (IS), based on their PSLE results but the cut-off point may differ from year to year, usually around PSLE score 260 & above.

The EESIS is also awarded to P6 GEP pupils who are Singapore Citizens and who

1.meet the P6 GEP promotion criteria, and
2.are enrolled in the IP in an Independent School at S1.

You do not have to apply for it as the qualified students will be informed upon release of PSLE Results. The quantum is S$2,400 per year. The award, once given, is for the whole 6 years period and it is automatically offset against the school fees payable. But the scholar must make good progress each year in order to continue receiving the scholarship. For example, if the school fee is $300 and then $200 will be offsetted, so the net payable through GIRO by you is $100.

You may look up for more info at MOE website under Edusave Scheme.

          Hope this helps. ๐Ÿ˜‰

If it's an activity organized by the school or MOE-approved, the school would probably agree to certify it. Just a note that not all DSA schools require certified documents. Some just request to sight the original when you report for interviews.

Yes, just the school results certified by the school, other certificates just copies will do for most schools, unless otherwise stated by the DSA school.

                    Hi. Just curious.
When you say invitation letter - does it mean a personalized letter addressed to your son or the class or ? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Physical letter was addressed to the parents. We also got an email from SJI. According to my son, there are about 20 students selected. He saw the list because they have to write their parents' email address on that list.

Is he from feeder schools? I think SJI do 2 rounds of dsa selections....... My ds also went for the first round last year, one of the few outsiders among all the feeder schools boys.... Came back with books and goodies.... Sji really took good care of the boys....
