Tong Fong Fatt Hainanese Chicken rice & soya bean curd --> Near Kovan MRT

wow...u went all the way there....so far

Kovan is a few MRT stations away from my group tuition classes so it's convenient for me. It was more troublesome for DH and DS because they were at home.

The queue at the chicken rice stall was unbearable. More than 8 ppl in the queue. Mostly ordering several plates at one go. Imagine the long wait..

Had dinner and dessert + walk around a bit. Bought breakfast and took a cab home.
now i know why u eat so much yet cannot put on weight.Kovan to ur home by cab is very far....one end to another.....

u really very hardworking, travel so far to give tuition.

Group classes in one of the tuition centers. Back to back. 7 hours. From 11am until 6pm. No break in between. Some lessons are longer than others.

Dinner was at Gyu Kaku. Lotsa meat. Finished with a dessert of Yuzu sorbet.

              how's the meal?

              what's their price like?

We took the set meal for 3 persons which was enough to feed 3 adults and 2 kids. Think DH chose the the Fuku set which came with pork, duck, 3 diff cuts of wagyu beef, cod fish, mushrooms, kimchi, salmon fried rice, salad and ice-cream. We are small eaters.

Bill came up to $300+ after drinks, service charge and all. Food is nice, service good. Once in a while treat, ok but I find it too ex.

                thanks.

i'll reserve this for a special occasion. The Jap BBQ that my family used to go, standard has dropped in our last 2 visits, so looking for alternative.

Had heavy late lunch of our usual favourites at Siam Kitchen. Plus fusion berry cheesecake and double chocolate from Mac Dees. So just simple dinner of sweet potato soup with spinach, fried egg drizzled with soy sauce and IJ fish fingers plus a spoonful of sambal belachan eaten with plain rice.
