It is because of HCL that my DD shuns NH!

lol....i think my boy will feel the same too...he already declare no no for sap sch leh...but i find it comforting whenever i see his improvement for compre on worksheets...i told myself, maybe the rigourous HCL curriculum really forces him to pick up the answering techniques?
but like stock market, his compre worksheets, sometimes good, sometimes all red! :faint:

How coincidence, DD made the same declaration too.

i am looking for Olevel schools, so looking at affiliation to JCs too.

besides discount for taking HCL in sec sch (i assume have), discount for CCAs, there are also affiliation discount too. is there a cap at the number of discounts one can get?

any one have any link to any info already posted?

I think hcl max 2 points, cca max 2 n affiliation 2. Max cap is 4. There shld be some dicussion in the past but I dont have the link.

max as in i cannot have discount 6points as in (cca+hcl+affiliation)?
thanks...need to go and do some digging....

not easy to get cca 2 points and also hcl....both requires major time commitment. affiliation points is a given.
ACS Olevel appeals to me too as they are boys sch with affiliation to ACJC. somemore also in West. sch culture..that one have to let son decide.
that is if can make the cut la.

wow...next i would want to find out if it will be easier to get that 2 points for cca.....
to focus on hcl of course makes more 'economic' sense as it also help in the O-A level CL requirements thingy. but cca more enjoyable and HCL can kill.

i see the COP to JC, nowadays...very scary...so low too....:(

I would like DD1 to get into IP IB. Then I no longer worry about HCL (which is a pain to me) and A level Chinese. Alas the cutoff point for IP is so high.... :nailbite:
