oh dear... just found out from a friend that hgs is undergoing prime in 2015 and moving to a holding school in bedok...... that just spoiled my plans of putting my gal there.... i am sad ttm.
And why not? As long as you dont mind your gal on school bus. The registration address should remained as the original adress. I have a few friends with kids there, all seems to love the school. All the best

I don't think that will change or affect anything much, or is it because you are living at walking distance from hgs? My gal is in HGS and she enjoyed very much and very happy there.

Hi all
I will be registering my daughter for MBS this year.
can I check is there any after school care for MBS?
do I need to register first for the after school care now or wait until my daughter get a place at MBS?
Thanks -
Hi mummies with gals at HGS, wondering if you can share your views on how well you think the school prepare the gals academically (does anyone have stats on what percentage of kids get psle score of above say 250?), and whether you think their educational approach is holistic?
My gal is born in 2010. Compared to the elder brother, she doesn’t seem very academically inclined. Hence we are thinking of putting her in girls school with affiliation to secondary school. But we are within 1km of hgs, and hence hgs is probably a more convenient choice involving minimal house shifts, or pv work. But given that hgs has no secondary school affiliation, I’m worried that she may have problem getting into a reasonably good secondary school on her own merits later on. -

I think there are two students care nearer to the school. You might want to visit MBS parent networking group to check with existing parents who put their child to Student Care here.-> http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=4431&start=2110Hi all

thanks for the mummies who responded on HGS. Yes it is a good school. I am an old girl

and yes, my concern is the distance. not sure if she can take the travellig everyday and also need afterschool care services for her. not sure if any good ones around the old site as well as the new site… -

OK. You are not alone.
What are you confused with? -
Haha haha.... qms. thanks :lovesite: cos of helpful people like you who affirms and supports me.
Well i have boy and girl and i want to opt for a co ed school but i only have 1 co ed school in my neighbourhood < 1km which is highly popular.... Kong Hwa
then i thought of putting into single sex schools.... as i heard good reviews about them.... and myself is from a girls school which i still like. but that means having to go through the same exercise for the boy and the girl.
then i read and read and read..... and i get more and more confused as my first choice is still a co-ed school........
so i start to consider GMPS, TKPS, NAPS..... then now i cant decide which co ed school to choose...... should i subject myself to ballot at KH or opt for any of the other 3 co ed schools..... i am phase 2C whichever school i choose btw. I also fear i need to go throu ballot even if i choose the other 3 schools.
some nice neighbours tell me no matter what must gamble since KH so near..... but the odds are like almost 50%..... then some tell me no chance in KH this year.... cos there are more pte condo around the school now.....
i am babbling....... now u can see my confusion. :scratchhead:  :frustrated: :slapshead: :stupid: :stompfeet: :stompfeet:

Yes, I can.
Why don't you start by listing down the distance category of the various schools your child will be in? This will give you a better idea which one(s) to aim for.
