Wood burning smell in the air in balmoral/chancery area

Indonesia is not the only country doing so. Few months ago,we experienced haze due to burning from nothern countries(Laos,Myammar).Sumatra is the cause of it.
Someone needs to get those psi meters checked.
The slash and burn method used by those farmers are very selfish...they only think of themselves...neighboring countries suffer this every year.
Young kids, people who are unwell, comstruction workers and elderly are terribly hit.
I remember environment or foreign minister said they we going to do something....oops....he said this b4 election.
Once,i saw this tv show abt singaporean went to indonesia n taught them to use an environment friendly method for plantation or something,instead of burning.... -

honestly developed countries SHOULD teach those farmers the ‘know-how’ and not N.A.T.O…environmentally the temperature has reached 33 or 34 degrees on average. -
Firstly for developed countries to be able to go and teach those farmers, that country need to be receptive. It is easy to say developed countries should do this and that but it is not a simple matter of waltzing in and saying hey why not do it this way. As it is we have a hard time getting our own MILs to do things differently, now we are talking about getting farmers in other countries to do things differently so that people from a land distant from them can breathe better? They are more concerned with putting food on their tables first. So unless there is concerted efforts from all parties, things ain’t gonna change much. And there really is nothing much the govt can do. Make noise, appeal to them, suggest and hope that someone with authority in that country take up the cause.
Global warming is the responsibility of every individual. So ask yourself, have you done your part. I will be the first to admit I have not fully done so. Bits here and there but there are some convenience that I loathe to go without. -

At least this is short term. The recent animal death in china...suspected contaminated air/water/soil...probably a greater worry....have we already consume some of these pigs (products) without knowing it? :sick:True...we cannot handle in laws...let alone farmers in other countries with different mind sets.

I didn't follow the news about the pigs in China. Did they find what is the cause of the death of thousands of pigs there?
