I visited the school before. I think the program is ok, good enough for me, the place is a little cramped though.

i visited them as well… size of centre is still ok… i have seen alot smaller than that…

it looks kind of messy… and the toilet is mouldy…
undertsnad that the centre has been there for almost ten yrs… but the maintenance seems like not up to standard?
how is their control of HFMD etc?

other than the school looking messy, for the price, activity and program seems ok for me…

is ur child enrolled in that centre?
care to share if ur child enjoy the place?

Hi ging3r, nope, my hb preferred Yu Quan so we sent our son there, but we kind of regretted the decision. Now my son is in a kindergarten.

Can’t find a suitable childcare near my place for him.

            Hi Keas,

May I know why you regretted abt Yu Quan?
My boy currently 19 mths old.
Like Child First @ Mounbatten. But is full.

Childfirst sounds good, I like the program, but never actually tried so cannot comment.

About Yuquan, in words or in activities, the program is well rounded. However, only after me child joined, I truly understand what one dad used to say about this school, that it is not very practical in the way they teach children Chinese.
My child could recite lots of things but when being asked about each word separately, he did not comprehend or even read one word on its own. It’s good to impress but whether it’s good for the benefit of the child, I’m not sure. This may be subjective, just my view.

Also, I can only see the enthusiasm and dedication of few teachers. My child is a little shy and sensitive so I feel that he needs patient and understanding teachers.

LV at Gentle Road has no vacancies at the moment for 18month old. $1200 per month. I just called yesterday. They have closed the IRAS one.

PMI which is also at that area is $1650 per month.

Balestier – the new Zhongsan Park will have mindchamps.

                    Hi w3

How is ur child coping there? Did she/he enjoys her time spent in school?
My estimated starting date is around August, but till now there is no calls or updates from them.
I’ve tried approaching the principal directly and she told me the waiting time can be up to jan 2014.
Decided not to wait too long, I have registered my gal in another cc. 😃

Hi, I’m also looking for cc around this area. LV@revenue house is not open for public, LV@novena is currently full till next year. Anyone can share your experience with Cambridge@novena? From the outlook it seem very run down, had anyone visited the centre? Kindly share.

Hi ging3r, sorry for late reply, it is difficult to tell whether the school is really suitable for my child, as I find they are too young to articulate… He will be fine one day, looking forward to go to school and suddenly not the next day…

May I know which cc your child is attending ? U happy?

Dumbdumb, why don’t u arrange a visit to the school ?
