It took me an hour to wash the peanut roots. Luckily I hv bn doing stretching exercises these few days, else really back-breaking.

The pork tail soup is now cooling in the fridge so that it is easier to remove the fats. Hubby gave thumbs up for the sweetness BUT told me to add a little more water to it. He's very diplomatic hor ๐Ÿ˜‚

I did not tell him the pork tail bones cost $12.50 ๐Ÿ˜‰

I tried to post the pics of the cleaned peanut roots, but kept getting IE cannot display the webpage :?

          mummyv:
Quarter tomatoes (if you break up tomatoes by hand, the taste is better). Add some olive oil to pan. Add tomatoes. Stir fry till tomatoes soft. Use spatula to break it up to hasten the process. Remove tomato skin that separate from flesh during the cooking process. Add oregano, black pepper, water, salt to taste. Optional - other herbs, capsicums, mushrooms, onions, minced meat/seafood, chilli flakes/cheese etc. Some ppl used canned whole tomatoes skin removed - cuts down cooking time by half.

I do the above when I make tomato sauce for lasagne or pasta.

I thought pizza tomato base sauce should be slightly drier?

Maybe your mom has a more efficient way of washing?

The peanut root is really fresh. The veg stall uncle said this batch is this morning delivery.

The moment the pot starts to boil, can smell the peanut. Now I am sitting at the dining table also can smell the boiling soup.

I hope my children will like it.

The last time I made this soup was almost 4 years ago when my elder boy was supposed to be undergoing puberty.

                      Topic: teriyaki sauce and chicken

                      http://www.chow.com/food-news/55260/the-basics-how-to-make-teriyaki-chicken/

Please advise is this how teriyaki chicken can be prepared?

Bought chicken breast and deboned chicken thigh this morning, thinking of cooking this style.

                      Dinner today:

                      2. steam ๆฏ”็›ฎ้ฑผ
                      3. teriyaki chicken
                      4. stirfry french bean
                      5. stew potatoes

Amazing. Your dinners are all like 5-6 dishes. How do you finish all the food? Mine are usually 1 meat/fish, 1 vege and 1 soup. Thatโ€™s it. If I cook stew, it will be that 1 dish with a staple.
