TKGS would like to invite P6 students with an interest in sports or the performing arts to experience firsthand what it is like to be a part of the TKGS team. The Principal will open this experience in sharing the ethos of a TKGian education. Parents are most welcome to sit in for the experience. The experience will end with school cheers and a student-led tour. All students are to bring their training gear/ instruments.

Anyone know dsa process for dunman high?Like the interview questions , test for english or math or science ?ect.

DHS has a GAT test - about 43 questions in an hour (I think). Questions involve patterns and logic. No English nor math involved. This test is very important, even for DSA via CCA.

If you don't pass the GAT, you can still appeal into the school. Minimum for sports CCA is T-score of 245.

huh why is the T-score 245 instead of 200?

You will not know if you pass the gat test or not. The result is not published.

There is a second of tests and interview if shortlisted after gat and trial.

By the way, this same gat test can be utilised across a few schools, like vs, cedar.... Just have to specify when doing online registration.

Is Higher Chinese compulsory for students who dsa via sports into HCI? Thanks in advance.

              Yes πŸ˜‚

              This is so misinfo.

Higher Chinese in primary school not compulsory for HCI DSA. BUT strength in Chinese helps because even DSA Sport will need to sit through the English, Chinese, Maths tests and interview.

              See this http://forms.hci.edu.sg/dsa/registration/DSAinfo2013.pdf

FYI, HCI DSA Sports challenging because they are very competitive, select your sport wisely. Look at their national ranking for reference.

I'm a reporter from Singapore's Child magazine. Currently pursuing an article about everything parents need to know about DSA, from IP vs IB to what do schools ask in interview. Anyone interested in sharing your experience of going through DSA with me? PM me if you can help me by sharing; this will help other parents who want to help their child enter the school of their dreams!

                Mangotea,

If you are a reporter, I will caution you to be very careful about yr article on the DSA route for each school because there is lots of misinfo on this site. Each parent's DC enter DSA via very different route but many claim to be experts but are really master of non. Suggest you verify your sources carefully and talk to the schools first. A reputable mag like Singapire Child will do many readers a great disservice if you put up the wrong info

Not referring to if they are taking higher Chinese in primary schools...
