          LOL.

Will be going to Cold Storage later to buy the rice. I will post when I'm there.

As for the prawn noodles recipe, the infor will be delayed because I'm not on friendly terms with hubby at the moment.

I was going to upload photo of the baked chicken breast, done according to your baked fish recipe, as compensation. But I can't upload, error msg. I made it for lunch yesterday. This time round I baked potatoes using the errrrr delicious, fragrant, marinated melted butter, yum yum

Don't feel like eating rice? Sick of plain ol' bread too, huh?

With just simple ingredients you can whip up this filling quick meal in under 30 minutes.

                  The ingredients :

                  http://i41.tinypic.com/35ko108.jpg\">

                  Pita Bread

                  http://i44.tinypic.com/14u8g1l.jpg\">

                  Lingham's Chilli Sauce
                  Lady's Choice Salad Sauce
                  Fresh crispy lettuce

                  http://i42.tinypic.com/23sac12.jpg\">

The bird was purchased from Cold Storage already grilled. We personally love the supermarket's black pepper grilled chicken. Nicely marinated and grilled to perfection.

The bonus was, the birdies were on offer that day. Woohoo! Only SGD $4.99!

                  Other ingredients:

                  Big Yellow Onions & Capsicum

                  Optional Ingredients :

                  Black pepper (grind)
                  Tomato
                  Cucumber

Saute a few slices of the big yellow onions until they are fragrant. Add in the diced black pepper chicken together with the chilli sauce and salad sauce. About 2-3 tablespoons each (for a small bird). After a good quick stir fry, add in the sliced capsicums.

If you like to add in extras like diced tomatoes, cucumber and what nots... go on.. just throw them all in! We like our capsicum crispy so turn off the fire after a few stirs round the pan.

                  http://i41.tinypic.com/24eq9v8.jpg\">

Rinse some lettuce and slot a nice crispy leaf as base inside a pita that has already been cut in half.

                  http://i44.tinypic.com/imtdvr.jpg\">

Use a small spoon to delicately fill up the pita with the stir fried ingredients. Drizzle more of the sweet Lingham Chilli Sauce if you like. πŸ™‚ A small bird can fill about 9 to 10 pitas like the one pictured above!

Here's a close-up of the quickie meal of Chicken Salad Pita.

This same preps went great with my pizzas...

Taken before it was popped into the oven...

                  http://i43.tinypic.com/2v2g3.jpg\">

This one taken after the DING of the oven!

                  http://i49.tinypic.com/2n9jrx1.jpg\">

......and also the Open-faced Mediterranean Focaccia Sandwiches. You can put as much filling or topping depending on which staple you use for it. We use the Prego Traditional Herb Sauce as our base.

By the way, those open-faced sandwiches.... ours were this thick. Yup, size does matter. πŸ˜‚

                  http://i42.tinypic.com/2uglxes.jpg\">

Plus they were topped with ultra happiness boosters called mozarella cheese. All grated with love.

Buds, :thankyou: for all the delicious ideas.

1 qn: does the pita bread need to be heated up when not used as pizza base?

I didn't use the pita as pizza base. I used this..

When i did mine it was not toasted.. the family likes it soft too. πŸ˜„

However if you have pre-packed in the chiller/freezer for the next day or for another time, you can always just pop it into the oven on abt 170-180 degrees for pita and abt 210-220 for pizzas.

Word of caution. Pitas are fragile. May tear easily if not gentle. Yes, this spooning is a test of how princess one is. The spooning in of the filling into the pita that is.. πŸ˜‰
