Travel: Malaysia - Cameron Highlands
-
Has anyone just came back from Cameron Highlands? Can you share the attractions there and how many days will be enough to cover the attractions? Also any coaches we can take?
-
Thinking of going to Cameron Highlands (CH) with 9-year-old DD and 7-year-old DS by flight from Singapore and then by coach from airport to CH.
Some questions:
What’s the closest airport to CH?
How to book a coach from the airport to CH, booking done in Singapore? Need both ways.
We don’t drive by the way.
Thanks. -
Hi
Need some feedback… Strawberry Park resort or Hotel De La Ferns is better in terms of accesibility to food, market ?
if want to pluck strawberry, which one is nearer?
Thanks!
Hi Jacsplace,
I think nearer airport is KL?? -

Check out above for how to get there.
In terms of food accessibility, both resort you mentioned were not near to town, is best to stay in brinchang town if not driving. there is one new apartment Crown Imperial Court, you might like to check out.
One thing to note if staying in town, wake up call at 6am by the local mosque. -
Closest airport is ipoh. Think dragonfly airline fly there few times a week.
-
Stay at Brinchang area better.
Best you drive. Tea plantation, pasar malam, strawberry farm and most attractions are in brinchang.
I think 3D2N is enough.
But to caution you, the road to the bohtea farm is very narrow. only 1 car can pass at a time. 1 car have to stop and allow the car from opposite directions to pass. Try to go off peak lesser car (away from malaysia PH and sch holi).
I went during June (crash with Malaysia 2 wk june sch holiday). Many cars going up and down the Bohtea plantation.
I think you have to take taxi to travel around or buy tour if you don’t drive cos i didnt see any bus. -
Am going to CH this 6th June… is it the Malaysian’s school holidays too?
Planning to stay 3D2 N at Century Pines… haven’t book yet… -
Just read the TripAdvisor reviews on Brinchang hotels. All the reviews quite negative, compared with those on Tanah Rata hotels.
I’m thinking of booking Strawberry Park Resort as it’s the only one that seems to offer airport transfers, can book taxi to Tanah Rata town and has its own tours of the area. All chargeable of course, but no choice as we don’t drive. -

Hi, can you give me the contact details for the bungalow please?Wah, a lot of people are going to Cameron heh. In our previous trips, we have stayed in a bungalow and Casa dela Rosa.
I must say that the bungalow experience is the best - fantastic lifestyle. It comes with a highly skilled cook (one of those hainanese cooks, who can whipped up a good english breakfast, scorns for tea and a sumptuos chinese meal in the evening type) - luv it.
Anyway, we're making a trip again this mid Nov. Could not get a bungalow though. So we're booked for Century Pines - supposedly renovated. Let's see -
