      Hi USA!

Radin Mas supposedly pride themselves in their IT achievements. Hence, it might perhaps be of immense interest to them if you are able to offer something IT-related to them?

        Hi USA and other parents,

My good friend PV-ed for Radin Mas (her child will be in P2 next year) The ex-principal is now principal in my son's school in CCK so I hope it is okay for me to barge in here.

My friend spent a lot of time helping the Chinese HOD to prepare ppt word cards for use during lessons. My friend sent me some of her work to get a 2nd opinion πŸ˜„

USA, do you mean since middle of this year till now you had no assignments ? Right now is school holidays so it could be quieter but during the school term, you should have done some hours, right ?

The needs of the school change from year-to-year so if you are really keen to complete your PV hours, be more pro-active to press/contact the school. I fully agree with qms about this school and the IT acheivements.

          Thank you qms and cafelatte!

All the parent volunteers actually met the principal around September. We are assigned jobs but since then we have not received any follow up on the dates to start. When contacted, they said the HOD will be calling soon, the school is busy with exams and PSLE etc

I will continue to check with them. Thank you! πŸ˜„

If my gal is born in 2006, do i need to write in for PV by early next year?

I read from the forum that RM has compulsory camp activities for P1 students and overseas trip for P6 students? May I know whether the school still continue with this practice?

            Thanks!

                Hi XK!

                XK:

One forummer, in another thread, gave this rule of thumb:

When the child is 4 years old - apply for PV
When the child is 5 years old - perform your PV work
When the child is 6 years old - time for P1 registration!

Don't worry. For P1 students, the camp only lasts for half a day. It is as good as a normal day in school.

Only in P2 will the students be required to attend a full day camp. There is not staying overnight in the school even for this full day camp, though.

P6 students go for overseas trips as part of their camp.

It's for the teachers to collect workbooks from the students so that the students need not carry them to school in future. Your child doesn't have to bring anything if you think it is unnecessary.
