          Hi The Right Equation Education

Why is the area of the rectangle 6 times the area of triangle KGB?

because as per the question, the base/length of the rectangle is 3 times the base of triangle KBG, and they have the same height (GB).

hence, u can fit 6 such small triangles into the rectangle. hence its area is 6 x 6 = 36.

I have 2 questions that need your help. Please advise.

                (1) A fast food restaurant charges $6 for a value meal and $4.50 for a kid’s meal. Last month, the restaurant collected $11880. For every 15 meals sold, 3 were value meals and 12 were kids’ meals.
What was the total number of value meals sold last month?

                (2) Janice collected a total of 152 Spain and Macau stamps. She gave 2/3 of the Spain stamps and 2/5 of the Macau stamps to her brother. In the end, she had 72 Spain and Macau stamps left. How many Macau stamps did she have at first?
