Hope your DD2 recovers soon....
Hi happyheart,happyheart:
DS went ahead with his oral when he was under the weather. He did not alert me or the teachers. In the end, confused right å³ with left å·¦ for chinese picture discussion, which means all 'sala' liao! Poor boy endured headache and chills until noon, buah tahan then call me to fetch him home. Thank goodness it is not the real PSLE

We really have to watch their health. No point study so hard but fall sick at the last hour, all efforts will be wasted.
Hope your boy is better now. Got to take care...My DD2 is now warded as she got a viral fever so as I see other unwell children in the wards...I really feel health is still number 1....must be healthy to do well for PSLE yeah!
Since your children are still young, please make sure you always keep a few suppository (sorry I forgot the name) that you need to insert into your child's back once the fever is higher than 38.5. This will buy you a few hours before you bring your child to doctor. Fever higher than 38.5 is dangerous. This suppository works faster than Ibuprofen so our paediatrician always ask us to stock some at home. 3-4 pcs at home is enough. -
Does anybody know what the Chinese "ming ti" composition topics are for 2011 + 2012? Also, what compositions do you suggest to memorize? (4 "Ming ti")

Thought we would be doing lotsa studying for DD's SA1.
End up we had a family late night movie (DVD) with chips, popcorns & drinks till 12am last night.
Woke up 9.30am & drove out for a Prata breakfast. Went home ~11am to let DD do her homework till 12.45pm before we went out for lunch & temple to pay respect to FIL. Both hubby & I was tired & nap but DD motivated & continued to do her work from 4pm - 5.30pm cos hubby promised to bring her for a swim. So now she's happily splashing somewhere with the daddy & brother (also behind time for his coming mid-year)
Hopefully DD can finish her schoolwork & gets to bed by 10pm. But she is happy.
Strategy? No strategy lah. Just that we believe consistent work is important. Giving them some break keeps them happy & motivated & probably relieve some stress & monotony from full day study.
Happy holiday. Take a little break ......
Ps : John, hope your gal is better. Take care -
thank you Slmkhoo and John

Oh John, sorry to hear about your DD2, hope she recovers soon. Staying in the ward with viruses in the air is probably not the best option. I have had experience with DC when they were younger. I will request to return home asap once the fever is under control. If situation calls for it, request for individual room. You take care too, can be quite a strain for parent to travel to and fro hospital.[/quote]Hi happyheart,

Thanks for your concern...thank goodness she's back and as active as ever...i guess being a parent comes with unexpected challenges and we will always be able to do it, sometimes with support from others

The revision planned by you sounds so fun...i think any kid under you will be very motivated to study...haha....and happy children can study better as they have minimal stress. Looks like today is a school day...and mommy going to get busy again.
My gal is better...thanks for your concern...
