      Arielmermaid,

      Is yours trace element Inc?

I just did another round of test for my kids n myself. Copper went up quite a bit for all of us. Mercury too. My copper hit 7.8, really high ya. so had to get my husband to do the hair test to confirm toxic exposure is from our house. His copper went up too based on 6 months ago. I thought of testing our water supply for copper with either HSA or GSG but Gi didn't think it is a good idea leh. Apart from water source, I really cannot think of what causes all family's copper to increase so much. So just wondering whether u would know about copper issue.

I also been contemplating to see your DAN for QnA session. But I don't think he will be pleased if I just pay him consultation fee n ask him thousand n one questions without doing any test or buying supp from him. If only there is a school to teach us on biomed.

Apart from taking high doses of vit C to reduce copper, slowly change all cleaning agents to non toxic type, I really have no idea what I should do le.
Jme, there are commercial labs in SG that can test the levels of copper in food substances, but it can be expensive. And given that water here is considered generally safe, it seems unlikely that it will contain toxic levels of heavy metals. In fact, there are also certain multi vitamin n mineral products that contain copper as a nutrient.

What is the consequence if the level of copper is too high?

        ImMeeMee,

        http://www.drlwilson.com/Articles/copper_toxicity_syndrome.htm

I thought of it as well but I am not sure whether it is food cos my children r in different cc during the day. I cook their dinner but not for my husband. He is hardly at home due to work commitment. The only time family eats together would be fri n sun dinner n I usually don't cook. Supplement wise, my husband took very little n inconsistent the past 6 months n I dont let my children take multi vit n I don't take the same supplements as them. Quite frustrating when I don't know where the source could be.

N my kids don't swim, don't eat seafood except codfish which is also not frequent. Chocolate is a once a month treat. We don't drink coffee but I do coffee enema.

Sorry above link is too long winded. Maybe just a brief explanation from http://berylliumcopper.org/copper-toxicity-causes-symptoms-and-treatments

            Hi Jme

No offense but just curious. Will you, because of copper or whatever toxic is presented in the pool or sea that you will not let your kids swim? I am just thinking how far or extreme can we go to protect ourselves from all these toxics which could be present in anything or everything that we use of consume.

Your son is still young, and the girls in his class may not have developed a sense of personal space yet. However, as he grows older, you may need to specifically teach him how to respect other people's space as some kids may not be able to pick up such social cues without instruction. You certainly don't want him hugging and kissing his classmates when he's 13yo!

Today I shared with my boy’s therapists about his issue of getting too friendly with his classmate. I drafted a social story and they offered to help me edit and include pictures for me. I am so grateful to them. Is such time that I feel having a therapist to guide me along is necessary, if not I will be quite lost. I hope the social story will work for him. But I would also like to thank Slmkhoo and ImMeeMee for the tips. I am trying to demo to him as well.

                      Double E,

I would like my children to swim. It is a good form of exercise n a good skill to learn. However I have to put on hold. I am not quite sure how to put my thoughts into words so that I can explain it clearly why a delay is necessary.

Just a year ago, he was a sickly child. Fall ill very often. Constant green thick mucus. Any form of medication from PD or ENT specialist didn't help. Non verbal. Poor awareness of his surrounding. Then we started biomed n did his first hair test. Essential minerals such as magnesium, zinc, selenium extremely low. Potassium, boron, molybdenum were extremely high. His cadmium (toxic element) was kind of off the chart. This says he is unable to detoxify on his own. Detoxification is actually a complicating process. A healthy person wouldn't need external help to remove toxin but for a child like mine, help is definitely required.

In biomed, there r several ways of chelating toxin. Most commonly seen would be DMPS/DMSA ( drugs) or zeolite (mineral) or building up adequate
essential minerals/vitamins/amino acids etc etc so that body is able to remove toxin on it's own. For me, I go for non invasive protocol ( which I find it takes a much longer n tiring period but definitely safer). I don't do DMSA. I would rather improve his immune system so that one day it is up n
running good again. But meanwhile whilst building up his reserves, I have
to try not to let too many external factors to deplete it. Perhaps most children r able to get rid of chlorine from their system but it would be a added burden to my child.

But i dont do extremes la. It is impossible to avoid all n i really not so \"on the ball\" mummy. So far, I only let him play in the pool during staycation. I would apply a very thick layer of cold pressed coconut oil all over him before dipping n then have him soak in a tub filled with Epsom salt bath after. Anyway he is only 4. Maybe one day in the near future, he will learn swimming. Be it when he turns 6 or 8, not an issue to me. When he is ready, he is ready. I am fine with that 😄

Our kids r of the same age but your child's development is way ahead of mine in terms of speech, social skill n others. he probably also does not have health issues as bad as my son. N thus our path in helping our
children would be very different too which u might not be able to understand why certain practises is necessary. Based on your sharing, u r a good mum. Happy to have u around to share.

Thanks for explaining. I asked because I am about to start my boy on his swimming lesson in two mths time hence i am curious what would be so harmful in the pool that is detrimental to our kids. I only know there’s chlorine in there but not too sure if that is toxic enough. I guess I have to remind my husband to rinse him well after his swimming lessons.

Sure, all of our kids here are of different levels of skill sets and me too have to tailor the methods that best suit his needs. I tried biomed for only a mth and stopped because I find it very difficult to follow the dos and don’ts esp food. And can’t bear to see my son taking so many different types of supplements every day with each supplement having to take like 3 times a day. He shudders everytime he has to take it. So for my case, I decided to stop and revert to the traditional way of treating him which is therapies.

                        Jme,
Apart from biomed, you may want to try neurofeedback. My son is on it now, I am not sure if is 100% due to neurofeedback, his therapies could have helped too, but he is definitely more aware of his surroundings now. I can share the contact if you are keen and is not expensive, $60 per session for about 35mins.
