Totally agree with j.a.m. This is, by far, DD's most ill-prepared exam.
Was in panic mode over the weekend. Did not even know where to start revising as there is just too much to cover.
In the end, we concentrated on Science, since it is a subject that seems to be most knowledge-based. Sadly, realised that DD has forgotten most of P3/P4 work. Electricity, being the newest topic taught in school, is also weak. I guess DD had not had time to \"digest\" what had been taught in class. So we spent time going through that as well.
DD has a very short attention span. Usually she is able to concentrate on just one mock exam paper per day (ie, do carefully + pay attention as we go through corrections together). Sighzz... Hopefully what we lack in quantity will be made up by quality work done... -
My gal just did her school SA1 Maths paper for 2012, so demoralising. Not sure if this is a good time to get her to do mock paper now…she has been scoring16/20 -18/20 for her past few topical tests…but this SA1 mock paper…I think she only manage to get 60+…
For Science, she just finished Electricity last week…and the topical test was badly done…guess no time to revise…this week I have to brush up her electricity and also on P3/P4 topics…but really no time… -
Good luck to all the kids!!

Other than those mock papers done in school, dd has yet to touch a single past year paper and exam starts mid next week :nailbite: :nailbite: I am keeping my fingers :xedfingers: too.

Looks like many of us are in the same boat, and in choppy waters.
Let's hang on tight and ride out the storm. Keep each other company, give moral support and enjoy our journey. :rahrah: -

u are still in the passing range above 50%.... there are ppl who are in the failing range below 50% and single digit marks.....My gal just did her school SA1 Maths paper for 2012, so demoralising. I guess cos we have been drilling hard on Maths since start of term 2, and in the past her topical tests were mostly borderline except for the recent ones where she really puts in effort to do all those assessments..guess that where the expectation set in...from a half hearted student to a motivated student..not an easy feat..I hope the upcoming SA1 will not be too tough and dampen her spirits..
