Are you referring to Phase 2B? If I'm not wrong, Phase 2C has been having balloting, but not Phase 2B.The CCA school bus? So all the CCA will end at the same time so chances of my kids being left bus-less is low? That sounds good.
My reservations for the school is actually the location.
Realize that it's the only good gals schools which doesn't require balloting for less than 2km.
On CCA bus, yes, for CCA, they usually ends around 4.15pm, and buses leave at 4.30pm.
You can refer to here on the CCA timing (though some are not quite updated.)

Anyone can shed any light on after school student care at SMPS, please? -
Hi,
I was looking for same thing last year. So hope my sharing can help some mommies here. My gal is in YMCA P1 this year. My girl enjoys her YMCA sessions because instead of going to granny’s place and have no one to play with, she can enjoy her session with her friends. Sending her to student care in the school is a big advantage from my view as she gets to know many girls from other classes and levels too. From there she improve her networking and my girl take pride in the number of friends she has in school.
YMCA make used of the school facilities as their premises, that goes to say they are using the classrooms, field and small office in school. So comparatively they may not be having nice new facilities as other student care outside. So new, nice facilities are out if that is what you are looking for. But they have nice dedicated teachers who ensure the girls complete their school homework before play, and they help them to revise work if any test coming. This is a big plus to me as I do not wish to spend my precious evening chasing my girl to do her work. They coach them for their tuition and enrichment homework too, if you pack them in their bag. The day is usually end with outdoor play which the girls enjoy very much. Hope my short review helps. -

I just hope that the student care at SMPS will offer the same experience. You are right about not wanting to leave her at grans cos she will not only have no one to play with but will probably get spoilt (knowing my parents :p) -
Hi Goldpiggy, my gal is in the after school care at SMPS, now P2. The experience has been good, especially the P1 teachers there are very caring and patient (Mdm Fu and Mrs Siew). Girls will finish their homework, learn tingxie and spelling there. They will also do assessment if there is not much homework. The girls take short nap at the aircon office if the wish (bring own sleeping bag). They will be given lunch and tea break. If you are a working mum, student care is a good option, you can spend quality time with your girl when you get home.

This is indeed very reassuring. Will most probably go for it provided my girl gets in to SMPS. Now starting to worry about not being able to get in cos we are at 2B and we live in the North-East
Totally agree with you about having quality and family time after work/school.
Thanks so much Bowie and SP Mum

Hi mummies
I read about the student care service. But what’s this YMCA?
Do you mean the student care run by YMCA but is located at smps?
Im more than 2km away and yearly there’s balloting. Is ther anyone who can share how’s the balloting like for last year?
Very anxious. Distance is an issue to me too but the other good sch near my place is very popular and probability to get in is quite low. -
Oh btw. Today my girl k2 went to smps for her p1 familiarization and had a buddy fr patience. : )
