      Hiholow:
Being a role model to the children is a must, they learn from the way we behave as adults. They also learn from others who they see and learn from too, like their teacher or tutors who are teaching them.

They are like the MINI US. Hee... (My two daughter look like me)
I totally agree...cos they are sponges when they are young and they absorb almost everything including values, habits, attitudes, mindset by observing us all the time...most adults thought that as long as the kids are nearby but not watching, they can talk or do whatever they want....but children are smart...they are always listening and watching from the corner of their eyes.

Yeap. I used to always use the work okay in almost everything i say even when sometimes I am not listening. Younger dd picked it up and when i am talking to her, she is not listening and just saying okay. I realized my mistake and talked to DD and told her my behavior is rude and unacceptable and that i shouldnt be doing that and she shouldnt be learning. She changed after I stopped doing that and from then I then know that they really am are mini us, listening, observing and learning from what we do because we are the adults and they think we are the role models that they should learn from

Really respectable...it takes alot of courage to admit to their children that their parenting behaviour is wrong and seek forgiveness from the children too...wow... 😃 impressed...i did apologise to my DD1 when I did something wrong and I know how hard it is...

I find Di Zi Gui useful in teaching kids moral values.

Philosophy 4 Children (P4C) can impart good values as children are taught to voice their opinions nicely and not to judge. They listen to others and are given the opportunities to think deeper of their own set of beliefs during discussion times. If our kids are exposed to long periods of such discussions, they will be more mature in their thoughts and actions.

Research of P4C implemented in schools have consistently showed improvements in areas of maturity and reasoning in the children.

                  😄

My name and my 6 year old daughter's name begins with the letter C, so i made it into the 4 Cs (at age 2-3) then 5 Cs, Age 4-5 and then now at 7 Cs (age 5-6).

Use it also to help her learn to spell those words and its meaning.. it worked well, my daughter always will use these words

                    The 7Cs for us are
                    Compassion
                    Considerate
                    Courage
                    Contentment
                    Charisma
                    Control
                    Confidence

anyone interested in the definition for kids can PM me...

Your girl is super-Cute! And yes, super Confident as well. And I just love the way she explains the word Control.
