I feel for some of the kids this year. IMO, the key was to understand the intake sizes at many of the schools from 2020 onwards. Based on some of the COP fluctuations throughout the years (especially the 2022 PSLE with the Tiger batch) and a rough indication of balloting (nothing official though), there were some warning signs of what might happen. The other factor is with every year that goes by, parents/students are more in tune with optimizing the AL score (i.e. don’t allow one subject to drag down your total). Of course, no one could say for sure exactly what was going to happen. Anyways, life goes on. With an open mind, most kids will be happy and find good opportunities wherever they ended up.

@Serendipity which centre did you go to? Can others also recommend? I am open to going to a private practictioner if that means less waiting time… I am looking for an EP to get a formal diagonosis. my DS is entering P6, so want to see if we can get him extra time.

Hello parents, My apologies for posting this bus service as we received feedback that many parents cannot find school bus service for their girls. We are a licence bus transport service provider ferrying Raffles Girls’ School since 2017. For Raffles Girls’ School we serve Bukit Batok, Choa Chu Kang, Yew Tee, Bukit Panjang, Jurong East, Clementi & Bukit Timah. If you are from other areas, and have a group pooling together, we try our best to help start a new route. Do contact me at 93555056 (Jacob) !

@bertrand-011930xl hello! There’s a dance studio called ‘Glissade’ at Bukit Merah central. It is very accessible as it is near the bus interchange, and also very affordable, and its prices are below market rate. The teacher is very amicable and approachable. This studio would be good especially if you are just starting out at ballet, but it has many students taking the advanced classes too. Even though the FB page may be quite old the studio is very well maintained. The teacher is also very experienced. Hope this helps?
