I have my son at Carpe Diem @ Jalan Jurong Kechil. I feel the fee increase is quite steep. Now they are at S$ 930. If there will be another price increase within the next 24 months, I will think about changing my son to another CC.
+ near by
+ the teachers: good Chinese teacher, my son likes her, professional English speaking teacher from the Phils
+ I am happy about my son’s academic progress, but I am probably not as "demanding" as some
+ nice extra activities such as field trips
- lack in terms of physical activities
- unnecessary frequent clothing and bedsheets changes
- using chemicals to kill hand bacteria instead of stronger encouraging good hand washing practice
Carpe Diem Jalan Jurong Kechil is the my sons fourth CC. -
Anymore feedbacks on carpe diem? I’m a bit upset w my girl’s current cc n is searching for another cc for her.
I’m esp interested in K1 n K2 curriculum. N how they prepare the kids for pri 1.
Pls share w me ur tots. Tia -

wld appreciate ur feedbacks? thanks -
Hi Parents,
Anyone have feedback about Carpe Diem@ Hougang Blk 954. My son just started N2 over there. Have been with him for the past 2 mornings. Found that the centre were abit lagging compare to my son's previous childcare centre. And during classes, I saw some kids just run out of the classroom but teachers didn't do anything.
Some examples of lagging are they only teaches the children to brush teeth at N2 level and the children there are only starting to learn how to unbutton too.
Basically over there, they alternates between English and Chinese class each day.
For today's English class, the activities they did for the morning:
1) Teacher read them a storybook
2) They learn how to tear colored papers and paste on a shape
3) Playing lego-like toys
4) Shower
5) No Activity, Children can read a book or play toys, etc
Is this what other childcare are doing too?
This is my personal opinion and hope do not offend anyone.

I think my son and your son could be in the same class. Ya, I find that there are too many kids too and sometimes during lesson, one of the children can just sneak out and I don't see the teacher in the class doing anything.
