Thanks for the pdf!
Form submission to MOE portal is standard, as I described. However, depending on each school and domain, might have other requirements to email to the school separately, within a certain date.
Eg. Sports/music to submit videos or art/language to submit past works. Maths/Science nothing extra.
Personal statement is not required unless explicitly stated. Teachers have to manually look through the submissions so its best the “resume” aka MOE form, is clear and succinct.
Below is an example of requirements for RGS for your clearer picture. Other schools may deviate only slightly

I am struggling to narrow down the three DSA school choices for my son(started P6 this year). He is keen on applying through math/science domain. He generally reads a lot and in recent years enjoys more about science, rather quite advanced science actually.
Here is a glimpse into his overall profile : He is in E2K science and Math Olympiad programs in his school, got a couple of Gold medals in math and science olympiads conducted by SIMCC (not all gold ofcourse, it ranges from gold to participation
) and a bronze in NMOS last year(P5), participated in science buskers and Sony creative competitions(P5)
But his SA1 and SA2 scores are generally not consistent(P4 math 100 but P5 92, and sometimes it dips below 90 too, bit of a wild card actually, just like his olympiad results, you never know what to expect!).
Considering the above what three schools would you recommend for him?
NUSH seems to be one suitable choice so far.
I donno where and how to start looking! Help!!

I am editing this post after seeing this useful resource : https://public.tableau.com/app/profile/sg.parent
Much thanks to the person posting it! It helped me narrow down my choices. But I would still love to have recommendations based on school ethos/culture etc in general among the schools that offer DSA through Science and Math. Thanks in advance! -
Hi KSP,
Planning to apply dsa for my girl (P6 this year) via Drama. She is an average-score student. We already planned our choices of schools. But recently read about IB vs A level edu-structure. Seem IB is more oral presentation and research (dunno whether I m wrong or not). And also IB is for v good results students. I find it more suitable for my girl who is more vocal and like to do research based and writing. SATA seem to be IB and an option. But with my DD’s average results, I am wondering am I having whimsical idea or what? Or just don’t think too much, follow the original plan. Just want to know more and having better understanding. LOL! Thanks! -

You are right about IB, its a totally different way of learning. Some kids seem to fare better in IB after switching to it based on some of my friends experience. You may want to do more research and find out if it will suit your kid. Dont know about SATA though.

She probably meant SOTA. I think SOTA's students get in primarily via DSA. The selection process is quite intensive.

Thanks for your reply!
I think (not absolutely sure) that the ACSI boys are only exempted from UG if they are in a Sports CCA on a competitive basis (whether DSA in or otherwise).
All the best to your DS![/quote] -
I have a question regarding this portion in the MOE website:
\"4.Your child's primary school information will automatically be shared with the applied DSA-Sec school(s). This information includes your child's P5 and P6 academic results, Co-curricular Activities (CCA), Values in Action (VIA) involvement, School-based achievements and awards such as Edusave awards, NAPFA result, National School Games and Junior Sports Academy participation. You do not need to input this information.
5. You may provide information on non-school based activities and achievements, which are related to your child's chosen talent areas. This section is non-compulsory, with a limit of 10 entries and no supporting documents are needed.\"
My question:
In my kid's report book i can see details about his participation in contests like Science Busker and NMOS, though technically these are not conducted within the school but they were signed up by the school.
So, will these fall under point no.4 or 5? As in will these be automatically shared with the applied DSA school or do i provide it as one of the 10 entries? -
Hello, do you know any school which has DSA for drums?
