We received CO in whatsapp msg from the teacher in charge on last Sat, 3rd Sept, for sports domain.
But no official announcement via email or post mail from them yet.

By the way, just to check with you what is the Philosophy subject all about in Y3? Is it like students need to read up journal articles of the likes of Karl Popper for instance? And is the weightage 50% this and 50% social studies combined as one subject assessment?

My kid said Philosophy is learning about argument forms (Modus Ponens, Modus Tollens etc). He said most of the teachings were by teacher in classroom setting and can't recall reading up any journal articles. I just checked his Y3 report card and his Philosophy result was just an alphabet grade and not included as part of GPA calculation.

He mentioned that what he learned aided him somewhat to form better arguments in his GP essays at JC level. There was also this Research Education (another non-GPA related subject) that aided him in his Y5 Project Work. It seems that all these non-GPA subjects at Sec level are beneficial in their own ways later on.
