Hi All parents, and zelynn, i read through the entire 2022 DSA to understand whats going on. i KS parent, my child only P3 next year but i like to see any positive results on Dance DSA. And i happened to chance upon your post.

Can share the credentials for your DD to go for RVHS? Also need Higher MT to apply for RVHS DSA right?
It seems like no one in this DSA2022 thread got into NJC for dance dsa. didnt see anyone shared abt it.

You can use the MOE School Finder (refer link below) to get a list of secondary schools that offer Dance DSA.

You can go to the school's website for DSA talent-area specific info (some schools will only put them up during DSA period).

For SAP schools like RVHS, it is not necessary for your child to take HCL in PSLE. But your child needs to take both English and Chinese language subjects in PSLE.

yeah thanks. i shortlisted a few schs that have the dance my dd likes. RV is not something she wants, but its the nearest. I think something suitable would be NJC/MGS/SCGS. but we prefer co-ed. and i think she may not fit into MGS/SCGS. i am trying to find out about crescent girls as well. Maybe next year i will bring her to Nan hua and cresent girls to have a look. My hub was from Nan hua high dance team and knows the type of dance they do, but the dance is also not something she likes.

We will monitor the next few years, but I would like to prepare early to see what type of qualifications they need. NJC in terms of the type of dance and, co-ed would suit her. Im just not very sure abt IP whether she can cope as its too early to make comments now.

some require min grade 5 ballet which she will have by then , along with performance and competition experience. intl/modern dance will be more suitable for her. but kids do change so im still observing while preparing in advanced if we eventually go for the DSA route.

So next year cca she is fixated on joining dance. i did consider sota, but looking at current progress, her language isnt very strong and i think she will suffer for IB program. so im just planning ahead and will adjust accordingly.

In order to get a better chance for interview, I believe edusave character, scholarship and eagles award will place the child in a better position. HCI likely will only shortlist 'Head & Vice head' candidates (prefectorial/CCA). *You may check out the YouTube link at 8:19)

Having dd successfully DSAed Bilingualism to NYGH few years back, now I’m keen to find out about HCI Bilingual domain for my ds. Would be highly appreciated if any parents can share this year selection test, interview questions etc for HCI Bilingualism domain. Tia.

Tested on oratorical and written skills on familiar social topics in Chinese during the selection test
