Hi all,
SCGS WL converted to CO.
Hmm.....is your DSA netball? I wonder if this has got to do with @Tick16 giving up SCGS CO which allows your WL converted to CO  -

If a student gives up a CO from a particular talent area, it doesnโt mean that a WL from the same talent area will be converted. Just saying.
Congrats

Just speculating without any proof

I know every school will have their list of WL submitted to MOE, rgdless of domains/IP/O. They shared the same listing with their unique ranking. -

Hi,
U have to weigh your own chances carefully. Go suss out how successful your coach thinks u will be for DSA at your desired school(s). And then decide whether to chiong for the competitions, or just focus on academic cramming. It is true, some of the exam components (eg prelim Oral or LC) may not have makeup sessions arranged by your school.
My DS had many classmates who gave their all for NSG, both individual and team sports, one team sport even won the gold spot, but only less than 5 team members were successful in their DSA. The rest (medal winners or top 5) were all sorely disappointed. Should they have focussed their efforts on improving their academic grades? Nobody knows whether the time spent could have pulled up by few AL bands or not. Sad to say, contrary to how those well-meaning folks who console u that going in by PSLE score is better, no CO/WL dont be sad, etcโฆi can tell u so many cases couldnt go in by PSLE score.[/quote]
Agreed with Zac's mom. U got to weigh your chances carefully and how are you gg to beautify their DSA's portfolio.
For NSG 2022, my girl's sch team won 3rd placing in their zone.
U12 selection, 6 of them got thru.
6 of them applied for DSA, 5 of them received CO or had their WL converted.
Some popular schs will only consider kids with such portfolio. But even with such portfolio, there is no guarantee that you will get in too. Other than the selection trial, i think e interview plays an important part where they will detemine if the kids suit the school environment not.
Hope it helps. -

Dear parents ,
Thank you for sharing all the valuable advice and information here. really appreciate it.
My child will be P5 next year and I am thinking to apply for DSA on art. She has strong interest on Art and has been attending NAFA since young. but she does not have any award or prize etc.
IF she manages to enter Sec via Art DSA, May I ask what will be commitment in Sec school and will there be further commitment to JC ? if i think further, can she choose Engineering subject in Uni later on?
Thank you -
No commitment for JC only 4 yrs commitment
Wish her the best of luck!
