I understand your concern as I had mine during my kid's time. If it's tuition you're worried about, isn't it better that there won't be any available for NUSH curriculum? The only way for students to clarify their doubts is to approach subject teachers. This being the case, parents get to save money, and we know that tuition fees do add up for the family.
DS is offered CO for NUSH and CHS.
He is confident but we are a bit apprehensive. We know little abt the curriculum and also concern that it might be difficult to seek help (e.g tuition) if he struggles to cope?
Rather than be concern about the availability of tuition resources, I feel that a more pertinent question is gauging how passionate your kid is in Math and the Sciences. From my observation, kids' interests do change as they grow up from tweens to teenagers, and exposure to non-STEM domains may appeal to some of them later on in life.
You have a happy problem. Good luck! -
Has anyone heard back from NYGH DSA Service Leadership? Official email states 11Sep, tho just wondering if anyone has heard back early from all the other domains? 🤪

Can I clarify for WL case:
If both child 1 and 2 have WL for school A, and child 1 put School A as first choice, and child 2 put School A as 2nd choice, but child 2 is ranked higher than child 1 in the WL, child 2 will still get the vacancy before child 1? Meaning, order of choice does not matter?
( Assuming that child 2’s first WL choice did not get converted into a CO). -

I know of someone who will give up for NUSH.
I don't think anyone will give up RI CO, to be frank. -

No marks disclosed. The marks of each PSLE student, for each subject, are stored inside MOE centralized computer, not disclosed to anyone, is top secret.
Do secondary schools receive the students actual PSLE marks or do they just receive the AL score?
Only the AL score is printed onto your psle certificate -

I have been asking around as well. - as stated in their website by early Sept we will know...so should be this week? But they seem v v v late this yr. So far i only saw 1 replied with a CO given on 30 or 31 Aug (domain leadership nygh)...cannot be this year they only decided to award 1 CO?🤣🤣🤣

This yr seems like SMSS and Nygh v v late -
This Fri is 8 Sep.
DSA results (CO / WL / rejection) should be out by this Fri. Not sure why this year, so late then release news. -
For this new AL grading, can I check there is no more bell curve already right? Means kid is this mark will be this AL no more consideration of performance of whole cohort right? Thank you🙏

The wait is terrible this year 😭😭😭

But i already told my kid treat as gone with the wind focus on psle...but without getting any letter from the school, there is no closure ( at least we get a letterhead from the school as momento?🤣)
This year even the v famous RGS always drag till last day is early. Not sure what the rest waiting for.... -
Yes, u are right. Different from T-score last time : no more comparison, no more benchmark yourself against several thousands of other P6 candidates.
What u see, is what u get.
Is your own original raw score achieved in the National exam, then check fall into which AL score range, per subject.
Example
If your original PSLE raw score (marks) for Science is say, 89,
then,
89 falls into the range of AL … 2
So, u will see AL 2 for PSLE Science, printed onto your PSLE certificate.
